Which web sites do you trust with your information?
I'm pretty picky about which web sites I give my information to when I buy something. I mostly just stick to Amazon, Woot!, and Ebay to buy things. I've been tempted to buy a few things off of Monoprice and Newegg but haven't yet. For anything else I use secure online account numbers. So, which sites do you trust with your information? Are there any that I should be extra cautious with when using?

I've had no problem ordering from Newegg or Monoprice. The only sites I worry about are the small and/or foreign-based sites like meritline, dailysteals, places like that. So far, though, I've never had an issue.
I trust none of them, but there are necessary evils in life I suppose.
A couple years ago there was a breach at Amazon with an employee of the firm that handled paid by check or by checking account services. Names and account numbers were taken, but nothing bad has become of it so far.
For all the smaller sites I just paypal it. If they don't offer the option, I pass. The more legit sites all tend to have it, and if I run into a problem, paypal's usually pretty good about getting me my money back. Good stuff.
NigerianPrincesWantingToComeToAmericaButNeedYourSocialSecurityAndBankAccountNumbers.org, since it isn't one of those dot com scam sites.
@captainsuperdawg: Hah. Nice one. :)
Absolutely no need to worry about Newegg -- very reputable site.
I've ordered from Monoprice dozens of times as well -- still no need, though, I admit, I feel safer (better maybe...probably for the customer service standpoint) (I guess) ordering from Newegg over Monoprice, but I always go to Monoprice first when looking for cabling and things like that -- it's even been discussed in MaximumPC a few times.
