Can you reorder from places that say "First time customers only?"
For example OnSale and Saveology have a lot of these deals that are really good but they list "For first time customers only" in their deal terms. I was reading on Slickdeals that some people are previous customers and are still able to order the "first time customer" deals without issues.
Are you able to buy deals that list the item as being for first time customers only, even though you've bought from that company before? I'm asking since I don't want to pop my cherry for a $5 savings when I should hold out for a $50 savings, as an example
Here's one deal that lists it's for new users only: http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/5f7a3822-f299-4a74-80e4-43350990ae8a/10-jamba-juice-gift-card-via-savology-new-users-only#0
and pretty much every onSale deal posted says it
I do it all the time.. for instance the NewEgg (NewCustomer10 promo) that was offered last year was $10 off your "first order".. so I made a new account everytime I bought something from them. Which had a different e-mail address/account but the same credit card/shipping/etc.
I've also made several accounts for Savelogy (for the $2 sign on bonus) etc. While some sites might do checks beyond just the account name. I haven't run into any as of yet.
Hah thanks for ... endorsing? my deal. I don't usually return for seconds unless there is a great deal to be had. It's very easy to spoof the system some places though. The google period and plus sign tricks are just one way of gaming the system.
@devexityspace: hmm i didn't know there's a $2 signup bonus. i'd definitely game the system for that! :-D
@jeremytheindian: i picked it cuz i've been meaning to ask this and saw your deal. it was a sign that the time had come lol. found another deal that's for onSale
same restriction, new customers only. i guess i'll just jump in and attempt to buy any of the "first time customer only" deals i want
Really depends on the company.
I know when I ordered some checks that they defined a First-Time customer as "not having ordered checks for a checking account previously", thus I used the First-Time customer deal to reorder checks for 2 separate accounts (separate transactions, of course).
