What is the best headset for work?

We have a new office and we need to look at getting headsets to work with our phones. The expectation is wired and they have to work with Cisco 7941 phones. We have a very small office and 10 of us plus there are some very loud people (this includes myself) so considerations for noise cancelling are good.

In the past I have always seen that plantronics seemed to work the best so I am biased but prove me wrong. I am looking at the Plantronics HW111N. So I am also open to a deal on that.

So I need the non-USB ones as those are not compatible with the Phone.

I have been using a Plantronics CS50 for the past five years and I love it - the newer CS55 is compatible with your Cisco phone.

The HW111N-USB is a discontinued computer headset and is not compatible with the Cisco 7941 phone. The 7941 has a dedicated headset jack on the back to connect a headset and cable. The Plantronics HW291N is one of the best noise canceling microphones and is similar to the HW111N-USB style (over the head, one side), however you can use any Plantronics "H-series" corded headsets along with the cable model 26716-01 which is required to connect the headset to the Cisco 7941 telephone.

@headsetsdirect: Do the suggested models here require the extra box ? I have seen some that require the extra box which seems to cause more problems than help.

It's also 7941G's if that makes a diffrence

No extra box is required, just the headset and 26716-01 cable. The 26716-01 cable is the most compatible, the amplifier box doesn't work properly plugged into the Cisco headset jack.
