Easiest way to use an irregular small amount on a prepaid credit card is to buy gasoline. Pay inside and then pump to the exact amount with auto-shutoff.

If the gift card was a gift (and not a mail-in rebate reward like I usually get), then just use appropriate the same amount from your regular cash/debit money.

I always use mine at Walmart for groceries. They'll split between cards however you like.

Most (all?) online stores are not able to process gift cards because there is no billing address. Credit card processing software requires a billing address to verify you are the owner of the card.

@ohcheri: A lot of the time you can make one up and they never notice.

I'll just say "All of the above". But mostly, nope, we can't do it. Sorry.

I would recommend using it to pay bills online...you know, the ones where you can type in how much you want to pay...cable bills, cell phone bills, etc. Whenever I get a prepaid card, I just save the full amount for one of these kinds of bills so I don't have to keep track of how much is left on the card.
