Anybody else experiencing problems connecting to Verizon's LTE?
It's been about a week now and I haven't had LTE coverage anywhere I go. I'm sort of used to it at home because I always get bad coverage there, but its all the time now. Is there some sort of outage? I Googled it, but the most recent results I got were from last year. Anybody else having this problem? By the way I live in northeastern Ohio and have an iPhone 5.
I know this might seem like a silly question but have you tried rebooting your phone since this started happening?
what @zuiquan said. I have an iPhone 5 and whenever I "fall out" 4G/LTE (quotes because it is an obvious problem with the phone not the service), I re-boot and it registers with the network again .... Yea, yea I know, I know Droid users. Lay it on haha
@soboehmer: It's not just iPhone though, I've had my android lose complete connection with the network and had to reboot it around 6 times in the 2.5 years I've had it so I won't be piling on the iPhone hate. It's not a big deal I have to reboot, just a bit annoying.
@zuiquan: ah thought it was just a crappy iPhone problem. I apologize then OP, however re-booting may still be the issue. If it's not, good luck with the issue. I know it can be annoying.
Have you tried calling Verizon's customer support? It may be that simple.
@zuiquan @soboehmer: Yeah unfortunately rebooting hasn't worked. I guess I'll have to call Verizon now, I hate talking to them.
if you have a pre Feb 2013 android update verizon phone dial ##4636##(edit: star pound star pound 4636 pound star pound star [stars are showing up as slanted pounds aka hash tags]) from here one of the menu's will le you turn on off CDMA LTE LTE/eHRD (or whatever it is called) EVDO. change it to jsut evdo then back to the LTE/eHRD. it should re connect. in order to change it on some phones you must make your selection, hit back then home, then go back into the menu. This is more common when changing from EVDO to LTE or the LTE hybrid.
Note that if you turn it to LTE only you will have no 3G if 4G is not available and your phone will fall back to 1X and drain the crap out of the battery lookin for 4G. This menu was stupidly disabled in Febaury by the Android update to some HTC devices Verizon put out so it no longer works for all phones.
@philosopherott: OP said in the details that they have an iPhone 5, sorry you went through all that explaining!
@miyoshinum5: Huh go figure it would fix itself shortly after I said this. Thanks for you help anyways.
