Challenge: iPod dock with speakers, plus CD player

I really love the fancy Philips system I got from Woot. If I'd known how expensive they were in real life, I'd have bought two.

On the other hand, for me, this is overkill, since all I really want is something that will play the music on my iPod, and on CDs. It can have other stuff, but here's the part that will make this hard. NO WEIRD STORES. Amazon, sure. I'm not a fan of Newegg, btw, and will not purchase from them, but I'll probably accept even buy.com deals. Nothing that has to be shipped from outside the continental US, please.

Okay, with that caveat, I'll cross my fingers.

@shrdlu, I've been to various stores and listened to products similar to what you seek. The sound quality varies greatly in these units. It was fun, however, to plug my iPod into different units and blast music that nobody under fifty would recognize (ELP, Marvin Gaye, Zappa, Spinal Tap) and watch heads turn. No specific suggestions here, but try and listen before you buy.

This is exactly like the one from Woot! except it does not have bluetooth.

Yeah, I'm not sure how much you're looking to spend, but I've always been a fan of TEAC / Tascam and they have this:

MC-DX32I - 25W 2.1 Ch dock with CD and AM/FM

@dpwellman: The only issue might be that it has a separate subwoofer you have to put somewhere.
