No increase yet, although there's still time for it to happen.

Local stations are right around $3.38; the most variance I've noticed is $0.02.

Up about 5 cents this week in Western VA...around $3.29

Ohio - middle of the state was 3.35 Tuesday. It's now 3.89 in places in the Cincinnati area.

Gas prices always go up right before Memorial Day. Has been happening for years so it's certainly no surprise.

Missouri here, up 0.45 since last week.

$3.46 in Dallas, up $0.30 or so in a week.
Ah, private enterprise- they charge what they want, we get to pay it.
That "glut" of natural gas will come back to bite us as well.

Just filled up at 3.75 yesterday in Cleveland, OH... I definitely saw a spike in prices by about 10-15c

Gas prices going up on holidays is a good thing. It means that people are traveling and spending money which is good for the economy.

$4.49 in most stations in MSP :(
Was $3.59 a couple weeks ago! Apparently currently we have the highest prices in the nation, even higher than HI :(

This is the time of year when refineries start moving from their "winter blends" to their "summer blends." The cost of producing the "summer" fuel is about 5 cents a gallon more which they pass along.

Just one reason you are seeing higher prices.

...just in time for the Monster Truck Rally... I mean "4 Wheel & Off-road Jamboree" out @ the fairgrounds, and the "Tug Fest" (tug of war with trucks) next town down the interstate, and the weekly friday night extravaganza @ the local Dirt Track.
yes, we had the redneck trifecta this weekend.

and we have the refinery here in town that supplies approx 25% of the gas sold in ohio....

Not here on the Gulf Coast of Alabama. Prices hovering around $3.30 and have for a week.

I understand that the prices usually go up around memorial day but $0.50 in two days that seems a little extreme.

Gas prices have gone up significantly in my area.. I remember gas at $.60 a gallon and the current pricing is ridiculous. But if the wholesale printing of the dollar continues I fear were in for ever higher prices for everything we buy.

Consistently over $4.00 here in suburban Chicago, with daily fluctuations that are ridiculous. There is always some lame excuse given for us having some of the highest prices in the country for gas, but it's just a combination of corporate greed and political greed (we get taxed to death in Cook County).

@rbarger: You're [grin] obviously a mere child. I can remember gas being $0.16 per gallon! And less if there was a gas war. AND we got free steak knives!

@skispeakeasy: I want to assure you, from the bottom of my heart, that at four bucks a gallon I most surely will NOT be doing any traveling or spending extra money. Any money I would have contributed to the real economy is only going to the pockets of the greedy oil companies, so I can put the gas in my car required to go to work and keep pumping my hard-earned money into their already over-stuffed pockets.

@bill7718: Uh huh. And that same excuse will be given in another six months, except they will swap the words winter and summer.

@magic cave: And they wore spiffy uniforms and cleaned your windshield and checked your oil !
Actually, I don't remember gas at .16. But I remember the Texaco man all the same !

@ceagee: And don't forget the green stamps. And gold stamps. And plaid stamps.

vote-for4vote-against

@ceagee and @pooflady: Ah, the good old, old, old days! I'd forgotten the "fill 'er up and check the oil, please" part. The $0.16 price was back in, um, 1964 or '65, when I was still in high school. Loved those green stamps! When I was pregnant my mother showed up with [what my aged memory says was] three grocery bags of stamps from her and all her friends. Sat on the floor with stamps, booklets, and a wet sponge for a looong time, but I got his crib, mattress, high chair, stroller, carrier, and a bunch of toys with those 12 gazillion stamps.

Fuel price hikes is really big issue to deal. Because this really affects my savings.

Live in central IL, gas is creeping up to I think 3.89 yesterday.. Two weeks ago I fuled up for 3.67, that compared to Chicago suburbs being around 4.10 for a "cheap" just outside Cook County rate!.

TIL North Dakota gas is almost as expensive as Chicago gas.

$3.39 in NE FLA for that nasty 87 oct stuff
