What's the best brand of Wi-Fi router?
I need to replace my Wi-Fi router, that darn things reboots every hour or so. I have a D-Link and it's a piece of... plastic :-)
I'm shopping online and between Belkin, Linkys, NetGear, TrendNet and other store brand, I'm lost...
Any suggestions and ball park $$$?
Thanks

I've pretty much only ever had great success with Linksys routers. They seem to last the longest. You're probably good to go on $50-$75 for a decent Linksys. Usually with these things, the more you spend the more you get.
i have a belkin N router, pretty happy with it, cost me about 35 bucks on sale
I've heard nothing but problems with Belkin (except you, @drsilentg). I've got a Linksys that has worked faithfully for 5 years now. I don't need to upgrade, but want 802.11n in my house. I'm interested to see what others have to say, too.
Oh, I've also heard the new Cisco ones have heat issues.
@brotherhalo: http://www.staples.com/Belkin-N150-Wireless-Router/product_927370 is the router i have
I purchased a Netgear N600 WNDR3800 Premium Edition. I have had no problems with the router. Higher numbers in Netgear models don't necessarily mean better products.
The router offers dual N band with a guest network on each band. Additionally the Netgear WNDA3100 Dual Band Wireless-N Adapter works amazingly well with this router. I'm very pleased with both. YMMV.
I run Linksys. They aren't perfect, but for me, performance and features are most important, and I just don't think the others do as well. Netgear makes a good router IMO, but I've had 2 Belkins and they were both junk. I've learned what I think is the hard way to cough up $$ for a good Linksys. I just upgraded to a Linksys E3200 and it's working great. @brotherhalo, it does run warm, but no problems yet. I read the E4200 has had some more significant heat issues (one powerful router, though).
@brotherhalo: My Linksys is almost 5 years old too. It has never failed me and I never lose my signal... knock on wood.
I have had both Linksys and Netgear. The Linksys was somewhat easier to set up and configure, but the Netgear has better range and is far more reliable that the Linksys. I will stick with Netgear from now on, unless I get one that falls short.
Thank you everyone! I'll go with the LinkSys E3200, any deals available?
@veropierre: see the Linksys site:

I use the E2500: http://homestore.cisco.com/en-us/Routers/Linksys-E2500-Advanced-DualBandN-Router_stcVVproductId129966526VVcatId551966VVviewprod.htm
@veropierre: $109 on Amazon
@veropierre: Check the Cisco Homestore Outlet...refurb for $75.99 w/ free shipping on the e3200 (have to add to cart to see $75.99 discount).
I like my D-Link router (DIR-632) because I can connect up to 8 Ethernet-enabled devices to it. I like having the hardwired LAN plus the wireless network functionality.
