"Wiki does not exist" Why do I get this message when trying to view kids.woot! and Home.woot!?
Just started doing this today. I've never seen anything like it before. I can access all other pages of the sites but not the main page. Have I been blocked from the sites for some reason? Has anything like this happened to any of you?
It appears that a few of the hyperlinks between the pages is broken/malfunctioning. After approaching the issue from a few different ways I was successful in getting on the two sites but that still doesn't explain why the hyperlinks weren't and still arent working.

it's the new "survivor.woot.com"
We all voted you out.
Another wooter will be joining you in 72 hours.
I don't seem to be having a problem... What browser are you using?
@falcondeal: Works fine when I use Mozilla Firefox but with Chrome I'm still having issues. Links from deals work fine. Its the links from Woot, kids, and home that are forwarding me to some wiki site. Very odd.
How were you getting to the site?
From the thumbnails on another page? If so which page?
From bookmarks? Clear your temp/cache files.
From the daily-digest? What was the main (large) picture on your email?
More info will help.
@wormburnr: I just finished checking the links on Woot, Home, & Kids in Chrome and I'm not having any issues. I do have problems lately with Chrome not going to the site it's supposed to and I have to close down that tab or sometimes Chrome altogether.
@thunderthighs: Too bad that I'm off to do other things. This has happened before, but I just don't have the time to hunt down the questions referring to it. It may have been browser related. Woot and Chrome don't seem to like each other. On the other hand, I have a Chrome browser, and it was just gine to go to those sites. Hopefully someone will point out the magic answer before tomorrow...
@thunderthighs: this person had a "wiki does not exist" issue before also
@thunderthighs: More info: On the kids.woot page the thumbnail linking to Home.woot is still taking me to the wiki page. There is an example. I'm using chrome at the moment. If you like I can give you a more complete list but that is the latest one that I just checked and confirmed not working.
Edit: WOOT! main page, the thumbnail links to kids and home.woot are still acting up. Wish I had more to tell you.
@wormburnr: Strange. Have you closed down Chrome? Cleared the cache/temp files? What version of Chrome?
@thunderthighs: Honestly I'm not techy enough to know how to do all the magic that you are asking me to do (like the cache/temp files, how do I go about doing that?). I don't know how to find out which version of chrome I have. All I know is that I updated it on Wednesday, January 25, 2012.
BTW, thanks for looking into the issue.
edit: figured the cache thing out. Working on it.
@thunderthighs: Went under the google chrome hood and cleared the cache and temp files as you recomended and now I'm having no more issues.
because you asked, 16.0.912.77 m is the version of Chrome I have.
Thank you for the coaching and direction on how to go about fixing this. All is well now and I wish you a good night. :)
Yay!
I just tried this using Chrome on Windows and it worked fine.
If this happens again, try these steps:
1. Point your mouse at the Woot! logo that's not working. Look on the lower left corner of the screen. What does the location say? For example, pointing at the "kids.woot" logo, it should read "kids.woot.com".
2. Click on the logo. Where did it send you? Look at the address bar on the top of the screen, right next to the "Home" icon. It should read "kids.woot.com".
3. If you type "kids.woot.com" into that address bar, does it send you to the right page?
It seems to me that given your description that it's hard to get to the right Woot site at all, that there's something screwy in your computer. Clearing the cache may help for a time, but if this happens again, I'd bet that you're infected with some malware, redirecting you off of the real Woot page - knowing where the browser tried to send you will help.
Cooooool, glad we finally figured this out. We had a thread a while ago, but I cannot find;I get this once in a blue moon, too. Thanks @thunderthighs
