I too have a rooted Nook Color running CM7 (though I installed it internally after about a week since it is trivial to reverse and a RPITA to have to shut Android down to pop out the microSD card).

I ordered this case very early on Monday morning and expect it to be delivered tomorrow. I'll let you know what I think after I get it.

A side question, if you don't mind: have you gotten the Hulu app to fly on yours?

And I have a Nook Color running CM7 AND also just installed it internally about a week ago! I went to BestBuy with my $50 gift card a while back and found some nook cases. The name brand nook case is $50 :o and like a piece of carboard :P ...But then I saw This and it works with my nook. But now that I just looked it up finding it around $50 in different places (though I didn't search that much, so you might wanna try) anyway... I got mine on a clearance at Best Buy for $35 and in a ripped box so a couple more off of that AND I used the AWESOME WOOT BESTBUY GIFT CARD! ...but anyway it is a really nice case. Real leather which I couldn't believe and great not having to worry about that Nook getting damaged since it is really strong and can stand up ...hope that helps a bit. That would be awesome if you found this case for a good price. Hey! maybe try bestbuy for a clearance sticker

@baqui63: Do let me know how that case works out. I have PlayonTV to stream Hulu and Netflix. I'll try the Hulu app (I've seen other's are having issues with it too).

@miquinn: I'll check that one out as well. It says for Blackberry, but I assume it works for the Nook Color too? Maybe this is the one from BestBuy: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Targus+-+Zierra+Leather+Portfolio+Case+for+Kindle+and+NOOK+-+Black/Burgundy/1299229.p?id=1218248657228&skuId=1299229 (or Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004MEXG10).

@jockovonred: yeah yeah those are the ones... I didn't have much time this morning and just clicked on something that looked like it. It is obviously much more expensive, but if you like be able to just throw it in your backpack or whatever then it really nice to know that it wont get crushed or whatever... it is really bulky because of that though...so trade-offs. Again you might wanna just go into best buy even if not to buy it but rather check it out if you are considering it

@jockovonred:

Hey. The case came today. First the bad:

If you read the reviews on Amazon, you'll note several that state the Nook is larger than the case. This isn't exactly true (I'd say the case is almost exactly the same size as the Nook), though I now understand what they mean. If you look carefully at the pictures of the case on Amazon, you'll note that the edges of the Nook have little or no protection from the case on two ends and on the corners closest the magnetic latch; if you were to drop the case vertically so that it landed on one of the ends or these corners, the Nook itself would directly absorb the impact. In my use, I don't foresee that this will be a problem (I'm mainly looking to protect the glass).

Otherwise, I like the case very much and feel that it is worth more than the $13 it cost me (I have Prime, so it was free shipping).

The white stitching may get old, but that is what Black Sharpies are for.

@jockovonred:

Apparently, the Hulu app works with CM 7.0.x but not with 7.1.x

I also have PlayOn. With it, the video freezes very shortly after it starts while the audio continues.

FWIW, I'm running CM-7-11162011-NIGHTLY (I last rebuilt it on Nov 17 or so, and 11-16 was the latest nightly. I first tried the latest stable release (don't have the date handy offhand) but it did not boot at all, so I tried the nightly and it worked.

@miquinn: thanks.

@baqui63: hmm, do let me know about the case. also, not good to hear that with PlayOn. I'll have to see if I can run stable and if it'll do Hulu. Otherwise, gonna probably have to jump into the dev rooms and see if I can help out.

@jockovonred:

I put 7.0.3 stable (from May) on it yesterday & Hulu Plus works well with it, though now the Market claims that half the stuff isn't compatible with it (I have to screw with build.prop to turn it into a G2 or something).

I guess I'm going to actually have to spend some quality time on xda... (I'm baqui63 there as well... don't think I've ever posted though).

@baqui63: my NC just showed up and am waiting on the 32gb SanDisk to come in today. i still would like to find a good case which doesn't block the speaker (i read some cases do).

i also got a Zagg full device protection and think maybe the rooCase (for around $20) might be a good way to go. it looks like it has some egg-foam type protection (for what that's worth).

so i decided to get this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CKVOOY/ref=ox_ya_os_product

it looks like a nice little stand for the nook color (and iPad plus others). i'm going to also try this rooCase to see how it works: http://www.amazon.com/rooCASE-Bubble-Neoprene-Sleeve-Compatible/dp/B0040VSJMQ/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1323067674&sr=1-5.

waiting on my microSDHC card now to put CM7 on it and play.

@jockovonred:

Cool.

The stand isn't something that I'd use (I have a wireless BT keyboard for my iPad and the Nook but I've never used it with either after setting it up). I hold the Nook or rest it on my chest while laying down.

I considered that case (I remember the Amazon reviews for it) but decided I wanted something that flips open like the one I got.
