I would say Snatch and Goodfellas!

Got to be Casino. It sucks me in every time it's on.

Heat. I can watch that every time. Although I think redacted should have bought it instead.

I second the vote for the Untouchables.

On the lighter side, Get Shorty. On the odd side, Pulp Fiction.

Donnie Brasco. You'd think it was just going to be a boring re-hashing of every single mobster/undercover movie that preceded it, but it was exceptionally well written with some surprising elements.

In the same genre, Infernal Affairs and The Departed also deserve mention.

Reservoir Dogs.

Pretty much blows the myth of "honor among the thieves" all to hell.

I used to hang with people much like the characters in this flick, takes me back...

Scarface w/Al Pacino & The Godfather I & II. III not so much.

@gmwhit: I'm SHOCKED. Absolutely SHOCKED nobody said Scarface before you.

With that said.. probably BLOW.

@drchops: Me, too. I was almost BLOWn away.

Have to agree with Scarface here.

@curtisuxor: I agree about Donnie Brasco the movie, and I enjoyed the book too. (It did help that I once lived in Tampa, so many names and places of Brasco/Pistone's Florida mob references were familiar to me.)

Hands down Jackie Brown! (not mafia but definetly criminal)- also loved Goodfellas

The Untouchables has no competition for me in this genre. I also love Moon Child, which is a very different sort of gangsta flick, and probably more enjoyable for us ladies.
