I have noticed that many sites have all caps for their recognized search terms. Clicking on one of those in the list generally loads the word and executes the search for that term. Words with lower case are often words I have typed into the search window in the past. Clicking on these loads the word into the search box but does not execute the search. I just tried to test this on the Deals.Woot site and it was NOT displaying that behavior (today anyway), but it did seem to be working slowly.

Probably because a search will return more true positives (e.g. "searching for "taBlet" should actually return posts with "Tablet" and "tablet" in them).

In case you don't want to follow the link I posted above, here's the reason from josefresno:

This is actually a bug in search term highlighting that is on our list to fix. The descriptions in the search result will eventually be mixed case, not upper case. (with your search terms highlighted like google searches)
However, currently, only black-triangle users can see the description in the search results.
