Why do search result descriptions show up in ALL CAPS?
I've noticed that when I do a search from deals.woot, the description abstracts that show up in the results are always in full caps. When I click on the deal, I see the description capitalized as the author submitted it. Why is this?

So you are sure to listen to the answers. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?
@okham: What... huh? Did you say something?
I have noticed that many sites have all caps for their recognized search terms. Clicking on one of those in the list generally loads the word and executes the search for that term. Words with lower case are often words I have typed into the search window in the past. Clicking on these loads the word into the search box but does not execute the search. I just tried to test this on the Deals.Woot site and it was NOT displaying that behavior (today anyway), but it did seem to be working slowly.
Probably because a search will return more true positives (e.g. "searching for "taBlet" should actually return posts with "Tablet" and "tablet" in them).
@kenerg: whispers Nothing worth repeating. :)
In case you don't want to follow the link I posted above, here's the reason from josefresno:
This is actually a bug in search term highlighting that is on our list to fix. The descriptions in the search result will eventually be mixed case, not upper case. (with your search terms highlighted like google searches)
However, currently, only black-triangle users can see the description in the search results.
