The only time it gets washed for me is when it rains, or when I take it in for an oil change and they do it free.

city is under phase two water restictions. thus no washing cars, hard surfaces, houses, watering plants, yards, etc. even the professional car washes have been closed by the city. so maybe in a few months i can?

Daily right now, since it rains nearly every day here.

Does having the best intentions to do so count? If so, nearly every day. If actual car washing is required, I haven't done so yet this year that I can remember.

They just lifted the water restrictions in my city, but it was all voluntary. Not much rain has washed my car this year. I've only washed it 2 times this summer.

@jeffrjohn: I hope intentions count, since that's how I exercise.

Which millenium is it now?

I have it detailed a few times a year, and I wash it myself every once in a while. Food and drink aren't allowed in my car, not counting groceries, so keeping the inside clean usually just involves a duster. Yes, I dust the inside of my car.

When I worked at my last job as a car prep for Enterprise, my car got cleaned (vacuumed, wiped down inside, and washed) maybe twice a week. Now, it's just whenever it rains.

I can't remember the last time I actually washed my car. While it is supposed to be white, it is actually a very dusty/brownish white right now! Let's not talk about the inside! After the dog and her.....accidents, and the kids I rode around when babysitting them, I pretty much gave up.

Sometimes I'll stop at one of the car washes for a group fundraiser. Otherwise the rain is good enough. We get some really good deluges here.

I wash my car when there is enough dust on my window that someone could write a note on it.

I would say not enough I try to every 2 months or so but if I get it washed 4 times in a year I consider that a small victory.

No specific schedule. It happens when I feel like it, when it gets dirty and the opportunity presents itself, or a fund raiser.

I'm sure there's some correlation between the frequency of car washes and how nice the car is.

10-yr old vehicle, gets washed 2-3 times per week. Local car wash (Quick Quack) sells a monthly unlimited wash card for $14.99. Also, we've got these annoying trees in the neighborhood that release some sticky liquid that forms little droplets all over the car, so it's kinda necessary to wash it often.

I have had my current car since spring '05 and it has never been washed.

My tannish-brown car has a cool feature where when you apply rain water it turns black for a while.

Yesterday, was the first time since late last Summer. It looks surprisingly good.

Though I don't really wash my car as I only use (a lot of) water and rags, no soap or anything else.

I wash it once every week or two during the Spring, Summer, and Fall. I wash far less in the Winter, unless it is above freezing, white and salty then I'll wash it.

Every couple of months, and it's overdue as we speak.

During the off season at work I might wash it once a month but when I've got more discretionary spending I'll wash it once a week. The landscapers are in the neighborhood two or three times a week and they love coating my car with dust every time they're here :-/
