Did Water Kill My LeakFrog?
I happened upon my LeakFrog squatting in a puddle of water in my basement one day. It was a small puddle, but both metal sensors were in water. He was silent.
I removed this non-tattle-tail and put a different LeakFrog in the spot. The new squealer immediately started alarming. Ouch! Loud noises! Out of puddle. Cleaned up puddle.
This is what happened when I pushed the "test" button on the original MuteFrog: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Q35tjk-KsI
I haven't done much investigating yet, so I'm hoping it's just weak batteries...even though the replacement frog was "installed" on the same day. Although I'd assume he should alarm until his little batteries die or until I come rescue him if he's sitting in water, right? Did the water do this to my LeakFrog?
