What is your drink of choice during the Christmas season?
Everyone likes free alcohol. I was thinking of giving out beer and whiskey as Christmas gifts to my legally drinking age friends. What is your favorite drink during the Christmas season?
Kahlua! Mixed with a little crushed ice and milk, or just blended with ice to make a "Dirty Snowflake."
I'll have some Jose Cuervo Gold, Grand Marnier, with a few limes, if you please. Margaritas are good year-round (not the frozen kind, mind you), so far as I'm concerned. Good champagne will do it for me too.
Mulled Cider with rum or whiskey is good.
Sam Adams winter lager and Sierra Nevada Celebration!
Belvedere and 7up is it's just a quick drink after work with the guys. Although hot cocoa with any sort of mint schnapps is good too.
In order by volume:
Tap water
Hot tea (Mighty Leaf)
Diet Pepsi
Bacardi 151 and coke.
@luisibarra81 :Can I be your friend?
EGGNOG!!
Same as any other time of the year.
Water
Rums are always good and Whiskeys are nice
Beer: big, spicy, heavy beers; the seasonal specials that tend to be released this time of year. Or any of the "brown" liquors--whiskies especially.
Always Jack and Coke
Hot buttered rum
Eggnog
Tea
Christmas Ales are always delicious and more fun since they are seasonal.
One of my favorite winter drinks is the Hot Buttered Rum. Little sugar, big splash of rum, hot water, and a thin slice of butter on top. Which I consider optional. Someone once said the only purpose of the butter was for waxing your moustache. Probably true. Stir with a cinnamon stick. Delicious!
Vizcaya Cask 12 rum and Brugal Añejo are both delicious and reasonably priced.
@moondrake: You had me until Diet Pepsi. My diet sodas, are Diet A&W and Diet DP.
Typically, like others, the seasonal ales, rum, a nice whiskey or scotch. For some reason, however, New Years is always spent with the vodka. Dunno why...
well, lets see... there's the gallons and gallons of beer that are consumed, but thats not too much different from normal.
There's the traditional shot of Jagermeister... then. there's the Riesling with dinner, some Sam Adams winter Lager, Jack & Cokes, cranberry vodka, White Russians...
Favorite drink really doesn't exist around the holidays... Its sort of a Wisconsin thing to ensure we're still outdrinking every other state in the union, regardless of season.
Coquito!
Or, Pitorro!
Hot chocolate made with real milk, Nestle chocolate, and 160 proof Austrian rum (called Stroh.) It'll keep you warm and fuzzy.
Y'all sure do like to drink this time of year...
Apple cider. Just apple cider.
Seasonal?
WASSAIL, BEEEEEYOTCH!!!
That's right. I bring the medieval punch!
