How much $$ have you spent on POWERBALL lottery tickets for tonight's record drawing?
Sorry if you do not live close enough to the states that are part of the drawing for the record 500+ million jackpot.... I am going to only spend 10 bucks. Should be good right?? LOL
@jbraunonline: Well, in New York, everyday in November if you buy $10 of powerball on one ticket, you get a $2 quick pick free. I played 5 games on one ticket, so was able to get a free quick pick. Not that it matters, I didn't win anything anyway :(
It was still worth a shot though!
My advantage is one of the stores I work shares a driveway with a beer and soda place. I literally just have to walk a few hundred feet up the hill to buy a lottery ticket, so the I forgot to stop at the gas station issue I have is null!
I matched most of the numbers but unfortunately it was only one per ticket so I won nothing...
@baybei: How did you get a "free" pick for spending 10 bucks? I want to start buying my tickets there! I spent 10 bucks but was not offered a free extra one. Damn Kwik Trip employee must be keeping all the freebies for himself. Jerk.
I collected all seven dragon balls...but i got the powerball wrong...
$2 - 0 matches.
Winning numbers: 5, 16, 22, 23, 29 Powerball 6
spent 10 bucks, matched 3 numbers on 1 for $7
Looks like I have to go in to work tomorrow. Oh well.
I spent $10. And that got me a free quick pick as well. So, I got $12 worth for $10, figured it was worth a shot. They say all it takes is a dollar and a dream...but in this case it's $2 and a dream, times 5! I played two sets with my own picked numbers, and three quick picks, then got my free quick pick. Here's hoping....
define "money"
$10 here. I know that I absolutely won't win, but just in case...
$10, which was stupid because I really don't want to win that much. I'd like to win about 5 million.
My husband insisted we spend $20. So I got 5 auto picks and 5 with our birthdays. I hate buying them, because I feel like I'm not part of the "club". I never know the right words to use or exactly how it's supposed to work. Filling out those little cards is like taking the SAT all over again!
I gave the girl the $20 and she just auto-printed the tickets without even asking. So the guy behind me in line bought those from me so I could get my self-pick numbers. I probably just handed him the winning ticket!
You know what? I'm putting the (I'm assuming) losing tickets in his Christmas stocking!
4 bucks:
2 for a work pool, I don't want to be the sucker left working there.
And 2 for myself so I can leave the suckers behind!
I had a $20 on me so I figured what the hell. It's my birthday so I demand compensation from the lottery.
10 bucks. First time ever buying a lotto ticket besides scratch offs.
My family has 3 states covered. We all spent $20 per state. The amount was pulled out of what we would have spent on each other's Christmas presents. Thought we'd have fun tonight with the lotto and the remaining amount of our gift amount will go to Toys for Tots. Kids need presents more than us old fogeys do.
You are more likely to be killed by a vending machine than win the Powerball jackpot.
That being said, I have $4 in ;)
The exact amount I spent the last time a lottery question was asked. The answer is $0 and always will be.
The lottery is a tax for being bad at math.
Absolutely nothing!
I didn't spend any money on it. The last time I won half a billion dollars it created all kinds of problems, so I called it quits on the whole powerball thing....
Did you auto pick or do you have your own 'special' numbers?
I spent $8. Figured it was worth it for a chance at half a billion.
