I dont know how I know this, but my wife just had her nails done with "Dive Bar". It is probably an OPI product. That's what I usually see laying around the house.

EDIT: I was wrong (how surprising). It is from a company called ESSIE:

Right now I'm rocking a bare look on the nails (polished toes though!)

Usually my go-tos are in the Opi for Sephora category, although my last polish was this spendy little color: http://shop.llarowe.com/Ozotic-Multi-Chrome-Nail-Polish-505-Ozotic-Multi-Chrome-505.htm

Yeah, it was very worth the price for the amount of times I caught myself staring at my nails trying to figure out just what color it was. I'm also digging the L'Oreal colors these days. Essies are consistently awesome in formula.

Also because this is deals I'll heads up polish fans who aren't aware of this great site. :) (Never had a problem with them, personally!)

My toenails are blue. The nails on my hands (handnails?) are not painted. I am very active and nail polish doesn't survive a day on my hands. I haven't painted my nails in years, but here at work I started seeing a lot of women with colored toenails and uncolored handnails and I decided that would work fine for me. I generally prefer odd colors, so I painted them blue for my Memorial Day picnic and the paint is still going strong.

@moondrake: I figure if I have to work with my hands all day, may as well go for the most interesting shades possible. :)

@moondrake: I'm with you, I have my toenails painted but not my fingernails.

I don't mind having colors on my toes, and I try to keep up on them regularly. I just can't stand having color on my fingernails, especially if it chips or starts growing out, it drives me nuts. So I just use clear or a very sheer pink on my fingers.

OPI "I'm Not Really a Waitress" on my toes, it's the closest color I could find to match my Mustang :-) Never put polish on my fingernails for the same reasons mentioned above.

Anything bright, neon, or sparkly. I usually stick with OPI. Currently using a silver undercoat, with a clear polish filled with pink sparklies over top. Will definitely blind in the sun. :)

I don't polish my fingernails for the same reason as @moondrake.

Tonails: red with black gcm at the moment. My daughters best friend did it for my daughters grad party.

Toes are hot pink at the moment. I usually leave my fingernails bare. I love OPI's "My Private Jet" for my fingers, but I rarely paint them because it wears off so fast. If I do paint them, I got to the nail salon and get the gel color. It lasts me about a week and a half. Regular polish doesn't even last a day. I have had better luck with the Sally Hansen salon effects. They usually last me about a week.

@ohcheri: Hilarious! I bought this blue color years ago to match my Eclipse. I'd forgotten completely till I read your post.

@intensesupernova: fingernails! Not handnails. Doh!

@norimw: Kinda surprised that's still news! :)

What about the men of woot who paint their nails?

@jsimsace: All nail polish devotees welcome in this thread, far as I'm concerned!

@coondogg97: I got a big chuckle when I clicked on the Amazon Essie link you provided: Invisible Hand popped up a comparison stating that the Amazon price of $.50 was the best, and the next lowest price was $7.50 somewhere else. Yikes!

@inkycatz: It was news to me, too, but I tend to be oblivious to a lot of details; couple that with a not-great memory, and Life is a bunch of small surprises to me.

@magic cave: That was @coondogg97, not me, but yeah that was funny.

I have "Im not really a waitress" on my toes (no mustang, but i love the color). For my fingers, I have CND Shellac polish in "Asphalt". Like @intensesupernova I never used to bother polishing my finger nails because I would ruin it almost instantly. But I LOVE the shellac polish. It is dry instantly and it lasts for me for over 3 weeks (the darker colors are better because even the little cracks don't show). If you want your nails to last - it is awesome! A bit of a pain to remove, but not too bad.

I currently have Kinetic Copper (Sally Hansen Magnetic nail color) on my fingernails. I think it's my new favorite. In the right light, the bands of color appear to move. I know, I know... simple minds, simple pleasures. Unfortunately several of my fingernails have ripped (down to the quick - ouch), and most of the polish chipped/worn off (it has been 2 weeks since I painted my nails). Now I have to wait for my nails to grow back long enough again.

Do I ever get crazy? Over nail polish? Pfft, never. I mean, I only have a reasonable amount of polish.

See for yourself: (This pic is from a year ago and my collection has grown since then... This was 160+ bottles...Sigh)

I currently have just two nails swatched. Essence's Where Is The Party (duochrome purple/silver/green) and A Lovely Secret (light pastel purple). My toes are bare while I try to get the stain off from China Glaze's Shower Together, but I'm thinking of putting that color on again, because I really liked it. A dirty blue-green.

@norimw: I am both ashamed and proud at the same time.

@inkycatz: That really is some mesmerizing polish! In a similar vein, this one looks stunning too: http://shop.llarowe.com/Ludurana-Aurora-Boreal-Reluz-Ludurana-Aurora-Boreal-Reluz.htm
