I figured the people at woot! would be able to give me something more than an amazon search. I was thinking more of a less well-known but reputable website. Thanks for your "very simple search", though :D

I bought this one back in 2008 and it still works great.

I know you wanted more than amazon but eh its a seller and its good green pointer that you can see the beam so long as its dark. Also comes with a Micro L.E.D. Flashlight keychain and Blue Microfiber Optical Cloth. However, my led light's batteries were dead.

Total: $19.94

I also have focalprice.com in my favorites. I got it from someone I work with, I think, but I can't remember who and have not ordered from them myself so I can't vouch for their service.

The everything you need to know about buying lasers site, with sellers: http://laserpointerforums.com/f45/guide-buying-your-first-green-laser-30608.html

Also what were you expecting from dealextreme, quality?

@catbertthegreat: As far as DX, it wasn't the quality, it was that they wouldn't ship anything above 5mW to the US :(

@xtowelyx: Because they are illegal, it is a safety issue, why would you need more than 5 mW?

@catbertthegreat: For astronomy purposes. The beam is longer and much more visible so star gazing is much easier. I'm not concerned with the legality of it really. I'm not going to aim a pointer at a plane or someone's eyes.

Mainly in China but it's not allowed to buy/have a powerful laser in every country.

Have a look at http://www.buyyourlaser.com

High power lasers are extremely dangerous to point and hold in hands. Usually people should choose FDA approval high power laser. It would be fine to get a satisfied high power laser from http://www.laserto.com/.
It would be perfect to choose a suitable pair of laser goggles on basis of laser wavelength you will get.

The best place to get really powerful lasers would be from wickedlasers.com. They sell the best like the Spyder 3 Arctic which can go up to 2W or down to 750mW.
