I like winter better than summer. Being cold is so much easier to deal with than being hot.

Fall is my favorite though, light jacket weather is where it's at.

I'm more of a fall person.

I love fall. Fall is my favorite. Maybe because my allergies aren't as severe in the fall as they are in the spring. Maybe it's because the cold fronts aren't as severe in the fall as they are in the spring.

Winter sucks. I can handle cold, but the lack of daylight and the fact that I get to work in the dark and I leave in the dark really irritates me. I spend about 3 months of my life each year devoid of sunlight.

Definitely looking forward to winter. I love it when it gets down to 70 in the middle of the afternoon. What's snow?

vote-for5vote-against

What is this winter you speak of? As I type this it is 100 degrees and has been 100+ every day in September. I still spend most of the winter season in shorts/T-shirts.

I hate it -- I used to motorcycle 365 and now that I live in Minnesota the bike goes in the garage until the spring. Dealing with massive snowfall is a drag, although it's certainly pretty to look at if I don't have to shovel or drive in it.

We plan on doing snowshoeing this winter, hopefully taking up a cold weather hobby will lessen my anxiety about the days getting colder and the nights getting longer. Until then, bleh.

@rprebel: I agree. I love that type of weather. Sweater and shorts or jeans and a t-shirt. Can't beat it. Sadly we don't get a lot of that where I am, but I remember it fondly from growing up in Michigan.

If my lake freezes this year, I'll be happy. It didn't last year and I'm in metro Detroit.

'm looking forward to snow this year, I bought my first snow-blower last spring so I'm really looking forward to using it on the first big snowfall!

@thedogma: fall is when the leaves fall. raking leaves sucks.

winter is good when i don't have to drive in snow. summer is good because of long days and being able to drive anywhere across the country without having to remember to bring chains.

@thedogma: I call that "sweaters and shorts" weather. The only difference is that is doesn't happen in Fall for me, it's more like Dec-Jan. You're right, though. Light jacket/sweaters and shorts weather is the best.

This summer was a total washout with mosquitoes. Couldn't be outside without being bit, unless you put bug spray on.
I got 6 or more bites a day.

I always loved fall. Hope it is a good one.

Winter....dog LOVES snow, but I have to shovel. It better not be a bad winter.

@dw1771: Check the forecast. It's about 105 here now, but on Saturday it's gonna drop 20-25 degrees. May be the same for you.

Yes. My Schweddy Balls are due for a reprieve.

Looking forward to winter - but winter in lower Alabama isn't the same...lukewarm would be a good explanation.

vote-for2vote-against

No. I'm a summer person, I love the heat. I'd rather take a week of 100 degree days vs. a week of 10 or 0 degree days. You CAN cool off outside, water down, get in shade, jump in the river, drink a cold beer, etc. There is no warming up fast in the winter. I can't go someplace outside in the winter and warm up. I hate not being able to use my fingers, gloves kill all feeling.

But that being said, if it's going to be cold, there'd better be snow. All over, covering everything, in a nice blanket of white. And it stays white, if it's cold enough. A nice beautiful white, blanketing everything.

@baqui63: I'm 2 miles from Queens. So far today, 3 bites.

Bring on the Fall!

I'm not as excited about winter as I am about the end of summer.

vote-for1vote-against

In south Florida, there is no winter. Just hot summer and not as hot summer.

I'm very excited for winter, I love the snow! I also ski so I'm looking forward to that, especially after the crappy winter we had last year. And the cold will refreshing after this summer.

Fall is my favorite season by far.

Winter, Spring and Summer all have advantages and disadvantages that mostly break even within a given season, though I'd say that Spring slightly edges out Winter and Summer for second place and the last two are tied for third.

The cold of Winter isn't really a problem for me; dealing with more than an inch or two of snow in NY City is annoying after about the first seventeen minutes, but at least the humidity is low or a non-issue.

I believe you're also in (or around) NYC, @dontwantaname... the mosquitos are frakking annoying. First year I remember having to fight them (plural) in my car on a daily basis.
