I have off on mon. and tues. and I like those two day off. I do miss some events on the weekend, like bbq's, garage sales, parties, etc...But, for the most part, I like those two days off.

I definitely like having Sunday off. I've got Sunday school and worship service in the morning and often times something in the evening, so Sunday is definitely an off day for me. I appreciate having Saturdays off, as everyone assumes most people are off on Saturday, so social events are often planned then. But for getting errands, shopping, appointments and such done, it's nice to have a week day off.

I work a 9/80 schedule which gives me every other Friday off. I really enjoy that as I can save up most of my errands and do them on Fridays when the stores are less crowded and I don't have to fight for what few Saturday appointments are available.

Saturday and Sunday.

First, most social events are planned for Friday night, Saturday or Sunday.

Second, I think it's always best to have two days off in a row. This really makes it easy to take mini-vacations that would require an overnight stay without taking leave/sick days. (State Parks, Camping, Amusement Parks, Family Visits, etc)

The 2 days I would like off are any that start with a "T" and those that start with "S".

@jkaleda: I would agree provided the pay is the same or more of what I get paid now.

@gt0163c: agreed completely! Sounds like I wrote your entire post....that's creepy! :/
I really do love having every-other Friday off though!

I would like 3 days.

Actually, I work 4 tens and have every S-S-M off.
Would work 12 hr shifts for 4 day weekends if I could.

I would say Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday. That way, you have one traditional weekend day to chill with your homies and then a normal week day when everyone else is at work and the kids are in school. It's nice to go shopping or to the movies without so many people out and about. I enjoy doing tourist stuff on weekdays because the crowds are much more tolerable.

2 days total or in addition?

Well, having two kids in school it's kind of a moot point for me. But if I were kidless I'd want Sunday and Monday off. That way if I wanted to go somewhere for a quasi-weekend I could leave Saturday afternoon/evening when there's little traffic and come home last Monday, also after traffic. Coming home from some places on Sundays with all the other vacationers can be a pain.

I like Saturday and Sunday, but if I had to change them I would go for Friday/Saturday.

Personally I would like to work 4 tens instead of 5 eights. A three day weekend sounds like it would be more refreshing and give me more time to clear my head before the next work week starts. I would think mon-thur would be the perfect work week.

I work in the IT field as a Service Desk Analyst and I sometimes feel like eight hours is not long enough some days. Though I'd love to get out of work earlier, if I get caught up on one issue, it can sometimes take up most of my day. I feel like I could be more productive 4 ten hour days than I can be in 5 eight hour days.

I have Fri/Sat and it's great.. Sunday everything closes early and no mail comes. I feel like Friday/Saturday allows me to be more productive.
