I love a good Cabernet. My all time favorite has got to be the 1996 Mondavi. I opened my last bottle of it a couple of years ago. Nothing else quite like it.

LBV or Vintage Character Port... Can't afford the Vintage Ports...

I'm a wine noob...I just drink the boxed wine and hope it's red enough to help my heart (family history of heart problems). If not it doesn't taste that bad. I bought my first wine.woot during the last wootoff just because it was a red wine and the guy who bottled it was born on 11/11 at 11:00... and I have a stupid obsession with 11/11... poured myself my first glass last night and it was awesome :3

edit: here is the stuff i bought... used my 20 dollar coupon on it too!

@cowboydann: target makes a delish white sangria boxed wine. Sweet and full of flavors hmmmm

I love Reislings that are on the sweet side, it's like a combo of all the great things wine can be.

@w00tgurl: I'll look into it and try it out sumtime

Edit: Sounds good too :3. Also dear woot, Please fix all the stuff that is going on with the deals.woot site. My comment wouldn't load to edit So I just ctrl+c ctrl+v'd it

@w00tgurl: My Target is on the Texas side of town, which is a dry county. ;sadface; Maybe next time I visit my brother. This Target brand wine intrigues me.

Nothing beats a nice peppery Syrah :)

My favorite wine is probably Gewurztraminer, from the Alsace region of France (though there are good ones available from other regions as well, particularily Austrailia).

However, due to budgetary constraints, I tend to drink mostly reds, frequently cabernet and/or syrah blends.

@cowboydann:

I've been able to edit comments when it does that by going somewhere else on deals.woot (say the leaderboard), and then navigating back to the comment in question (without using the back button).

It is definitely a PITA though.

Love late harvest Rieslings, actually finished a nice big glass of it about an hour ago. A good value that I like to drink in general is from Hogue cellars out of Prosser, WA.
Also love Gewurtztraminers, but my favorite was from Three Rivers Winery in Washington, but they sold their grapes. I am now pretty stingy with the bottles I have left. Three Rivers is probably my favorite winery in general.
Ok, so I'm partial to my home states wines ;)

What's the word? Thunderbird. What's the price? Thirty thrice! Are you out there, Herman?

Cabernet and Syrah.

I also like a nice moscato. St. Supery in Napa Valley makes a real nice moscato.

I like the Kenwood Merlot at BevMo for about $10. I first tried it in Vegas and loved it.

I'm a fan, but my tastebuds aren't refined enough yet. My wife and her family are the bigger wine connoisseurs. Typically I'm a full bodied fan, like a solid cabernet or gerwertz (for spicy food).

@w00tgurl: Hmmm... A White Sangria?? I have a sweet pallet and love Sangria during the summer...

Chenin Blanc :) mmmmmm! I do love white wine!

I can enjoy either: Boone's Farm or Mad Dog. And maybe some Champale.

@w00tgirl: A nice Sangiovese. I'm a simple woman with simple red wine tastes. When I can find the bottles on sale, I also like Beaulieu Vineyard Tapestry Reserve.

I'm not a chardonnay fan, but those Copa Chilean Chards that wine.woot had up a few times this year haven't been too bad for the price. Have you jumped on those before?

@hobbitss: white sangria is delish, and very sweet. it's best when it has a slight cinnamon and peaches taste IMO. so good! here's a pic of the Target boxed wines, white sangria is at the bottom

@lavikinga: i actually haven't tried any woot wines :^(
i don't drink enough wine to justify it, since the purchases I see seem like such large orders. i buy onesies and twosies locally in stores or at wine festivals after sampling.
my fave red is a Pinot Noir, and no not because i bought into the movie "Sideways" lol. it's just the lightest and least tart of the reds that i can enjoy without a steak to eat with

@thumperchick: Rieslings that are from Alsace (France) are dry and fruity.

I really like Pinot Noirs (My fav, inexpensive: http://www.mirassou.com/wines/california-pinot-noir.asp?gclid=CMT0jvTbxawCFWICQAodl0lm9Q)
They go well with pork (Pigs & Pinot)

@kamikazeken: I actually have 2 bottles of California Coolers which is pre-B&J. Mom & dad saved them when they found them hidden in my old hide-a-bed (sofa bed). They are clear with a solid bed of sediment at the bottom; probably since they are vintage 1983.

I like my wine like I like my consoles. In box form.
