What era do you wish you could have lived in?
Are you a Greek Philosopher displaced in time? Do you wish you were a Roman Centurion? Can you envision yourself doing the Twist in the 1950's? Would you have loved a Little House on the Prairie?
What era would you have liked to have lived in?
I'm looking forward to the 25th century. I always wanted to meet Buck Rogers.
Not interested in the past...the tech wasn't good enough.
Definitely now. Now rocks. But, the future might even rock more.
The past would be cool to visit, but I'd hate to get sick or need a Dr. during the Roman Empire or even the Wild West of the 1800's. The real question is would we use our knowledge of the past to change the outcomes if we traveled back in time?
@jgribb1: So, I am guessing you would be a Greek Philosopher then? LOL
Definitely the future, but not too far to where you are in a Doomsday/Post Apocalyptic or "Big Brother" (Demolition Man) technology controls your every move era...
somewhere where technology is awesome but freedom remains somewhat "manageable"
I wouldn't mind checking the 50's out. Cool cars, great music, drive-in (movies and diners). Just seemed like a cool and simpler time to live. But I will need my cable DVR, smart phone, tablet and laptop. With all the wireless coverage of course.
I do love modern medicine... and plumbing... but if I could get the scenery and a high station in like... 1100 Scotland with a handsome Laird as a husband who adored me and favor with the king and good land with people who also loved their lives... yeah, that sounds pretty good to me.
Can't say that I've ever wanted to live in the past, though a simple life has some appeal, especially after a long day dealing with the fact that the vast majority of people today really don't get technology (they may use it, and many do so quite successfully... but they really don't get it, how it works or why it works the way it does, nor are they interested in getting it).
The future has some appeal as well, especially since we are fairly close to major breakthroughs in combating a number of diseases. But if things continue as they are, we are likely to be forced to live in fear that anything we do might offend someone so thus we are restricted from doing pretty much everything.
@coondogg97: Yeah, the 50's. Been there, done that. Rock and roll. Fender skirts. Car hops. Transistor radios. Juke boxes and motorcycle gangs. Life was good!!
While I'm glad I'm here and now, maybe the old west...1870s or so.
Once I get my TARDIS fixed I'm heading there.
Being a woman, I have to say now, or some point in the future. Previous to the 1960's the US was no place to be a woman, and sadly, even now much of the Earth still is not.
