Since it looks like there are a number of Portal fans on this thread, I hope it's okay if I ask a related question: I downloaded a trial of Portal 1 because I've heard such great things about it. I could not figure out how to play - seriously, not a clue. Any suggestions for a website/resource with some very basic information?

@neuropsychosocial: I don't know what kind of demo you've got, but both games do a really good job of starting you out with simple puzzles and letting you learn more complex mechanics a little at a time.

Basically the object is get from point A to point B. When you get the portal gun you can make holes in the walls that create a portal between the orange and blue holes. So you're often trying to figure out how to place the 2 portals to get yourself or environmental objects where you want them.
