Has anyone tried the LOMO Camera Kit by Fotodiox on Amazon?

I saw this kit to make a working camera on Amazon http://tinyurl.com/bpntkjh and I thought it would be fun for my husband who loves making models and photography too. Has anyone tried it? I see that it is on sale for $9.95 from $29.95. So, it looks like a good deal.

Did your husband say he was interested in a lomo, because I've never met a photographer who had anything positive to say about lomos.

Well He loves to collect cameras and doesn't have a LOMO. But, I kind of thought it might be a fun project for him during his Christmas Vacation (keep him out of the Kitchen.)

@mapked: In that case, it sounds like a bargain. It would make for a cool looking paperweight, and I have to admit it sounds fun building your own camera.

The reviews are not what I'd call stellar, but for what it is and for the price...why not?

seems interesting. My only problem is the price of developing film, though it would be great to take pictures with a camera you built.
