I recommend the: Eton FR400R. You can find it online for about sixty dollars.

@giggleloop: Very similar, just the one that I had posted was a newer model sans Red Cross logos.

@giggleloop: @xarous: Thank you for the links! I thought I had seen a radio recently but it never occured to me that it was at Wal-Mart! I don't think they have it in-store anymore so I will have to order from the website. I'll get one for home and for the cars. To be really prepared I see I need to have a backpack in each vehicle. This is an expensive project but it will be hard to get it together during an emergency.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
