Where can I find NON-stretch jeans?
The Levis sponsored deal yesterday reminded me that I need to restock my closet now that all of my jeans are starting to fall apart (I wear jeans pretty much every day). However, looking online, all the jeans I find are stretch jeans. Anyone know where I can find non-stretch jeans?
Levi.com is a good place, and ebay works well too. YMMV.
@jsimsace: All the jeans I checked there are stretch denim. I think I closed my ebay account several years ago, and I am not eager to re-open it.
LL Bean sells 100% cotton jeans, no stretch.
Tommy Hilfiger also has non-stretch too....
I'm having trouble finding any. Err, also fyi I am looking for WOMEN's jeans :D
@teevoo: Are you in women's sizes, plus, petite?
@thumperchick: More petite. I generally wear a 4S bootcut.
@teevoo: Out of my range... perhaps another petite wooter can help.
@thumperchick: Oh well thanks anyway. Might just give up and try men's jeans lol.
My most recent pair of (women's) jeans is from J Crew. I just looked online and I see they are described as "hint of stretch" but I would say that "hint" is very true. I've searched high and low for a pair of jeans that fit and wear well and these are the best I've found.
I was that size once, try Liz Claiborn~just got a pair yesterday with no stretch. Also Dockers, Banderloo,, Rough Hewn. Many brands have some with no stretch.
If I'm to believe the online info at Sears, the Covington boot cut petite jeans are 100% cotton (http://www.sears.com/covington-petite-embroidered-bootcut-jeans/p-016VA45388601P?prdNo=39&blockNo=39&blockType=G39). They specifically list the stretch jeans in the names, leading me to believe perhaps they really are not stretchy.
I used to be able to find lots of non-stretch jeans by Lucky Brand, but it got harder when they moved their manufacturing out of the US - they seem to be made in the same factory as a lot of jeans now :-/. But the Lil' Maggie ones posted above are still 100% cotton, and if you scour ebay you might be able to find a good deal on some old Made in the US 100% cotton. The old made in US ones had good pockets, too. Hate jeans with tiny or no pockets!
I still like Lucky jeans, but unless their is a good sale I buy them on eBay cause they toooooo pricey.
Only one style that's non-stretch, but made in the USA and nicely priced:
Thanks everyone, I'll have to check these out!
