what do you think I should get?

Ok guys I just bought a new macbook pro 13 i5. Now I have been sitting on 150ish dollars from bestbuy, in the form of gift cards. Now I really can't decide what I wan to get. I was thinking of an apple tv for in the living room so I didn't have to move the ps3 from the bedroom to watch netflix. Also thought I could use a network harddrive so I could have my massive music and movie collection throughout the whole house. then I also thought I could upgrade my router to a new apple airport extreme then connect a regular harddrive to that. Let me know what you think would be most useful and/or throw out alternatives I might like better. I know bestbuy is horrible but I have giftcards so what am I going to do.

I'd take those Best Buy gift cards to a BB store and use the cards to purchase Amazon gift cards. (The cards say Amazon/Kindle, but they can be used for anything on Amazon.)

I was under the impression you can't use a gift card to buy a gift card.

@lonno925: My sister and brother-in-law have used BB gift cards to buy Amazon/Kindle giftcards regularly with no problems.

@lonno925: I do it all the time at best buy, buy the "kindle" gift cards with the best buy gift card... Different stores have different policies on using gift cards to buy gift cards, best buy & target are two stores that I know for sure DO allow it.

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
