Yep! I'm trying to avoid buying the new Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver TV remote. I have absolutely no need for it at all (it won't work with my TiVO), but it's about the coolest thing I've seen in a long time and I want one!

So I'll comfort my sonic screwdriverless self by watching the new episode, instead.

(No, that really won't be much comfort, but I'm not spending $100 for a cool but unneeded TV remote.)

@magic cave I know, it's so awesome!! But I've got a 10th Sonic replica from Thinkgeek, so I can make the sound with it while using my actual remote.

Well I hope everyone has had a chance to watch the new prequel first:

I would add it here, but cannot figure out how at the moment.

@darkone01: It's really simple. It's basically hyperlinking the video with an "!" in front of the bracket. If you don't know how to hyperlink it's really simple as well.

In brackets, put the words you want to link to, and then with no space, the url you want. So it looks like this [Pond Life] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZkWjkvaKpA) without the space. To embed the video in it, just put an "!" before the bracket with the video url.

So, this is the hyperlink: Pond Life

And this is the embed:

Only difference is an exclamation point before the bracket.

@captainsuperdawg thanks for the info, I had no clue how to do it. I do not spend much time playing with pics or video online, and rarely if ever trying to put them into a forum.

As excited as I am, the kids are ready to pee themselves. They've requested bacon popcorn, and so it shall be.

Not to be crass, but does anyone else think the big thrusting glass thing in the middle of the TARDIS control panel looks like some enormous sex toy? Or have I just watched too much internet pr0n?

vote-for2vote-against

@kamikazeken: Too much pr0n ken, way too much. But yeah, it kinda does.

vote-for4vote-against

Edit: Done downloading, Gonna start watching now, I'll be sure to post tons of spoilers over the next hour to ruin it for everyone else, OK? ;-P

I haven't seen this show yet. Although everybody around here is talking about it. Perhaps I will watch it now that True Blood is now over.

@digitalurbancamo: start with the 2005 season, they sort of re-introduced a lot of the subject matter and characters to an all new audience when the series returned in 2005.

If you have amazon prime, season 1 (2005) is available for free http://www.amazon.com/Rose/dp/B003LZ5B7S/ref=sr_1_2?s=instant-video&ie=UTF8&qid=1346540132&sr=1-2

@magic cave: oooh. Now I know what I'm asking Santa for Christmas.

@kamikazeken: Thanks for planting that visual. I've already told the family, on pain of death, "leave Mom alone tonight...or else"

vote-for5vote-against

@darkone01: I have now! Thanks!

Been watching the BBC America marathon straight. We are, no kidding, eating fish fingers and custard tonight. It will probably taste hideous, but then again, its British.

vote-for4vote-against

@sgtgreeneusmc: Here is a recipe for fish finger cookies and custard. That'd probably be a lot better.

I will be very unhappy if Amy & Rory don't live happier ever after.

vote-for1vote-against

@lavikinga: Nonsense. The unhappy ending is always good. It may not be a fan favorite, but it's almost always well-written.

vote-for2vote-against

good stuff. i will refrain from spoilers both in this episode and regarding foreknowledge of this season

vote-for1vote-against

An Ood on the loo? WHAT NEXT!!??

You people are damned lucky you all avoided posting spoilers today. My freaking video card crashed everything I'd just spent three hours surfing and gathering, and I am in NO frame of mind to have my season inaugural of Doctor Who spoiled!

Harrumph.

Well, that certainly made me feel better. Never underestimate the power of a hissy fit, as they say.

And now I'm headed off to the TiVO to revel for an hour or two in timey-wimey stuff.

vote-for2vote-against

So, that was interestingly companionable.

vote-for3vote-against

@captainsuperdawg: Nope. Still want a happy ending for those two. All of the companions go through a lot. That's the price one pays for traveling with the Doctor.

I don't care if the Angels send them back in time, or they go to an alternate universe, just let them grow old together, happily. For goodness sake, they're his in-laws!

Shabby, what happened to Donna; I do miss Wilfred, and Vincent makes me cry every time I watch it.

Sigh. Not enough downvotes in the world...
