For me it is probably "The Catch"

Was the beginning of a 20ish year dynasty.
Mine is when Tim Bogar hit an in-the-park homerun in the Astrodome during a double header. It was a crazy play and I don't think anyone saw it coming.
I love it for a number of reason.
1 - I saw an in-the-park homerun on a crazy play.
2 - It was my first double header ever.
3 - I skipped school to go to the games.
4 - I met Randy Johnson that morning and got his autograph.
My favorite major sports moment is the Rockets winning their first NBA Championship. I was a kid but I can still remember how crazy the town was.
@funkadelic78: That is a classic play.
@wickedd365: The Rockets came out of no where for two years... Kind of overshadowed by #23. :(
@wigglemonster: We could have won again if we hadn't traded all of our star players off the next year.
Not that it meant much in the grand scheme of things but when the Redskins beat the Cowboys on primetime football with two long bombs from Mark Brunell to Santana Moss... I was alllll smiles.
I have a lot of favorites...
Landon Donavan's goal vs. Algeria was awesome..
Also, Bears Vs. Cardinals in 2006...
I was at this game as a Bears fan in Arizona. Bears were losing 23-3 at halftime. The quarterback for the Bears, Grossman had 6 turnovers. In the second half the Bears had two fumble returns for touchdowns and one punt return for a touchdown (Devin Hester's first). Then to top it all off the Arizona kicker had a chance to win it with seconds remaining and missed. The ensuing party adds to the memory as well.
How could I forget... The Cardinals coach exploding afterwards in the post game conference.
The Immaculate Reception, of course!
@wigglemonster: THEY WERE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!!
@meow57: Beat me by 5 minutes! Greatest play ever. Close second was Big Ben tackling the Colt's defender after the Bettis fumble near the goal line. Great upset, and a Super Bowl year. Awesome.
plaxico's touchdown in the superbowl against the pats. Last minute catch that ended perfection.
The Mavs winning the playoffs.
...Cinderella story. Outta nowhere. A former greenskeeper, now, about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac... It's in the hole! It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Boston has to many to list....
It's the Miracle on Ice. Nothing will ever top that moment.
"Behind the bag! Behind the bag! It gets through Buckner!"
I like the one where the team is behind and then they unexpectedly get a point right near the end of the game to win it and they were big underdogs coming into it. Yeah, that was amazing.
@funkadelic78: That was the first football game/play I ever really paid attention to as a kid. thanks for that youtube link.
the greatest has to be the miracle on ice though...
The New Orleans Saints winning the Superbowl.
