I'm clueless here. Woot's CS always knows what's going on.

The shipping estimate sounds like the woot of the old days. ALWAYS shipped 5 business days after purchase, then took nearly two weeks delivery. They have been far better the past year or two, but their policies are still crafted to keep your expectations low. http://wine.woot.com/faq#q11

It might be time to buy extra presents...

@gregorylikescheapstu: I read that too, but that seems to apply to wine only. I ordered a wine rack, something that could have been sold on any woot site. This was my first time ordering from wine.woot, so I'm not sure if this is normal or not for even non-wine items.

PS, I got her plenty this year, this was just an impulsive woot additional present so I'm not that concerned. If anything I'll save it for Christmas.

Greetings wine drinker!

Wine does take longer to ship than other woot sales.

From the FAQ: http://wine.woot.com/faq#q11

How long is shipment going to take?
You should get your wine in 2-3 weeks, often sooner. We know the wait is kind of a drag. But it's still gonna taste good (maybe even better), and since we leave it to the wineries to get the wine to you, you can count on their experience to send their wine using their expert methodologies.

And the next question for the heck of it:

What about shipping during the summer months? How do I know my wine won't get damaged in the heat?
Because during the summer months, your wine will be shipped with special precautions to keep it in peak drinking condition, whether that means logistical wizardry, faster delivery, refrigerated shipping, or some combination of all three. Wine Country Connect has been helping wineries get their products to consumers come heat, humidity, or dust storm for years now. Just chill. They got this.

@thunderthighs: Oh boy! I didn't order wine :) I ordered a wine rack, something that is used to store wine, not an actual bottle(s) of wine itself. Now if this thing did come stocked with wine I can understand, and I'll be pleasantly surprised!

@eraten: Even our non-wine products sold on wine.woot go through the same order/shipment process so you should still allow the same 2-3 weeks. Often it's faster but just be prepared for longer.

Don't start worrying unless your updates start coming from VINEGAR.WOOT.

@thunderthighs: Thanks! That's all I wanted to hear!

IMO in this heat I would like the option to hold shipments for a cooler time.

Just an update to this thread. I was out of town for 2 weeks and just checked my tracking status. My wine rack will FINALLY be here tomorrow. It was ordered June 27th. It shipped on July 10th, and is to arrive on July 23d. That was a full 26 days from time ordered to time arrived. Either I've had really good luck with woots in the past (sometime's even getting them in 2 days) or someone at wine.woot fouled up. I am very unsatisfied with the service I've received from wine.woot thus far. I didn't even order wine, it was just a rack to hold my wine. If it takes almost a month to ship that I'm worried as to what it would take to ship the real thing. I'll stick with the other woot sites from now on!
