Help me find shelf brackets. Please!!
I've been searching online off and on for months trying to find affordable, metal brackets for 2 shelves I made for my living room.
The key word here is affordable.
Maybe I'm cheap (Ok...I AM cheap.) but I can't see spending $80.00 for brackets.
All I want are simple, decorative, metal brackets with one end at least 12 inches, but the cheapest ones I've found that I like are $20.00 each. No, I'm not talking about the metal ones you get at Home Depot. I'm using those now until I can find decorative ones.
Does anyone know where I could find them for less or will I have to bite the bullet and cough up $80.00 for them?
I'm hoping someone here can help me. Thanks!

Here's a start, beginning with a really inexpensive and cheap pair and then getting better in quality:

this was actually an ad to the right don't know if any are metal but some were pretty.
Thanks to both of you.
I'm so tired of looking at the cheap hardware brackets I'm using temporarily but am so darn cheap ;)
If I end up getting any, I'll be sure to let you know.
Here is a pair of gothic cast iron 12" brackets for $34. Shipping may or may not be free.

These are priced individually, 11 3/4" at $10.95 each. Free shipping on orders over $50. They have many other styles too so look around.

These are pretty cool, hand painted dragonfly wrought iron brackets at $26.99 per pair. No size though so you might have to ask the seller.

Hope this helps, and happy shopping. :)
@attilathemom: Those dragon fly brackets almost look like they could be used as curtain rod holders or plant hangers. My mom would really like these.
@attilathemom: Thanks!! I'll check them out.
here are some from my past
@wootvan: cinder blocks are not shelf brackets, they don't hang.
@wootvan: And an Elvis fan I see!!
Well, I'm still looking. Either the sizes aren't right or the design is too much. I'm looking for something really simple.
The size is what really kills it for me. I took a trip to Lowes yesterday since I liked the styles I saw online and thought they might have a larger selection at the store.
Nope. 9" max.
So, thanks for all the help. I'll keep looking.
And maybe even break down and pay waaaaaay too much money. :)
Thanks. :)
