Birthday Woot. Vanilla or 31 Flavors?

For the last 4 years I have always purchased the woot item on my birthday as a wooterific present to myself. (The only condition being it had to be under $100.) With the addition of all the other woot pages (tech, home, kids, etc) my dilemma is now whether I stick to the pure woot page (vanilla) or allow the other pages to be considered as well. This is further complicated by the woot plus pages which add a number of other choices. Hence the 31 flavors. I did decide to rule out deals.woot altogether as that basically kills the the entire surprise of the wooting experience.
Please provide your feedback and/or suggestions.

I forgot to mention that today is my birthday and a weeder is not exactly my idea of a great woot present. Hence my willingness to be more open minded about the other pages.

it's your birthday. buy whatever one you want from whichever woot site you want!

I don't see a reason to exclude the deals.woot pages, though I think I'd go through the other woot pages first.

What if the thing that you always wanted is the top sponsored deal at a great price? Are you going to settle for a foot flush from sellout just because the other thing is on deals?

Of course, it is YOUR birthday, so get what you want from where you want. ;)

I love this idea! I vote for 31 flavors - shop around. If it were me, I might talk myself into a price point (especially now with all-day shipping) and see how many awesome things I can get to add up to that price between all the sites.

Happy birthday! And I think you should get something from whichever site you want. Or maybe give yourself the option of vanilla-chocolate twist. Only count the core woot sites, and not their woot plus offers. That is semi vanilla. But like Others have said, it's YOUR birthday, get what YOU want! :) Hope you decide on something cool, and have a nice day as well! :D

@mkdr: Great idea. This is what I ended up doing. Since $100 has always been the threshold I used that as my price point. I picked up the weed picker from the main woot page (have to stick with tradition after all), the shirt woot, and the Corsair SSD (always wanted one but hadn't found the right opportunity) on Moofi. Total $99.98. My wife liked the idea so much that she is planning to do the same thing on her birthday. Of course her price point will be considerably higher.

Now just to convince the Woot Gods to give away free shipping on people's birthdays...

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
