Is anyone else getting a ton of spam after the Zappos attack?
I'm trying to figure out if the two are related, but about 12 hours before I got the email from Zappos and 6pm, I started getting regular spam that got through my Gmail filter. Is there anyone who wasn't on Zappos who has seen an increase in spam?

I got the email from Zappos but no noticeable difference in the amount of spam I've received. I wasn't subscribed with 6pm, so I can't comment on that.
Not yet. I did get emails from Zappos and 6pm. I can't remember if I even had accounts with either one of them. I hope not.
I have. I use Gmail and luckily it has been catching most of it. I guess there is no way I can blame it on the hack but I now get at least 5 a day (I used to get 1 a month), most of which is in some Asian characters and other random things.
Yeah, my Spam folder seems to have twice the usual volume in it today... I REALLY liked 6pm.com, I don't think that I'll be shopping there again.

I'm not going to stop shopping at 6pm - I think this is something that can happen to any company. I have a feeling their info will be much better protected now. Plus, their sales beat anyone else!
I got the Zappos email but I had never bought anything from them so I haven't seen a change. I had never heard of the site 6pm but now I am kinda curious about what they might have there. This could end up being a win.

@coconutextreme: I'm so glad I'm not the only one! It's not overwhelming, but it's way more than I'm used to in Gmail!
Nope, no spam.
Worse than that - my concerns (not complaints - but a couple of actual questions regarding my data) were met with a flippant "lawyer up and serve us papers" attitude.
With that type of attitude, I hope they fail harder than their security has.
