depends on the type of controller, and the which generic you are talking about unfortunately :(

I found that such things as the remote holders for Mario Kart, Wii Sports are just fine in most generic forms. As for the actual controls all I can say is research, research, research!

@hessbri: I've got one Nintendo wheel and one generic wheel for Mario Kart, and the generic one partly blocks the remote signal so the hand only shows up on the top half of the screen. It's fine for driving, but a PIA for anything else.

I've thought about getting two generic controllers and nunchuks as a 3rd and 4th, but haven't actually needed them yet since friends bring their own controllers so they can have their Miis.

@jokofoto: The controller has memory to hold your personal Miis???

don't waste your time with third party controllers. they aren't nearly the same quality as the official Nintendo ones. sure you save a few buck but the difference is worth it to buy the real deal. thats what i have come to find any way.

I have 2 generic remotes and numchucks and I have not had any problems. They were half the cost of new namebrand, so for me, it is the way to go!
