Do you ever forget that you ordered something and get surprised?
I order a lot of things online. I feel like most of you can relate to that. Sometimes so much that I don't know what I'm opening. Yesterday I got a woot box in the mail, but I couldn't for the life of me remember ordering anything from woot. I got myself all worked up on the walk back from the mail box thinking about how Woot is a really cool company who does send out random things to awesome people from time to time. And who could be more awesome than me? (Sarcasm) It turns out it was something I had ordered during the Woot off and had forgotten about. Do you ever forget things you order?

Every once and a while, when I realize that I have more than 2 or 3 things, on order that I really want, with varying delivery dates, I'll purposefully order a few more things and sign up to receive some free stuff. I love getting an influx of random things, after purposefully making myself forget what I ordered. :3
Many times. In fact, yesterday I got a package from shirt.woot and could not recall ordering anything until I opened it and found this shirt, which I ordered during the last woot-off.
Actually never. When I order something, I keep all my e-mails so I can track them via the tracking number and I constantly check its shipping status.
Yes, my BOC came today. I had forgotten about it!
@ojulius: 2 things, how did you forget? and I hate you! haha. I hope it was a good one.
@gideonfrost: I forgot about it because I have more important things I'm waiting for. The last few BOC's I've snagged weren't anything to write home about. It's exciting just to get one! Most of what I've gotten recently go to the grandkids.
If you have ever ordered from Meritline, every shipment is a surprise. I order, forget it, and a mystery package arrives months later! :-)
Rarely. I typically follow something from when I order it to the day it shows up at my door.
It's pretty difficult when they don't provide tracking info.
i do not forget things i order,and i always pay attention on it!
This actually happens to me as well, order and then weeks to months later I get it in the mail.
However, reading these comments... I can only think that our future will be so bright. :p We start an action, forget about it, and are thrilled when it completes. I imagine that we will all be sitting in old people homes one day, thrilled that the "Toaster of Awesome" keeps producing that wonderful toast. :p
Sorry, I might just be really tired, but this thread had me laughing a little bit imagining the future.
Yes, sometimes if it has been back ordered then I can be surprised.
That's me during every woot-off. What I like to do is stay up for almost the entire woot-off (if it's a 2 day wootoff) and then read shipping confirmations until I get to the first thing I don't recognize. There are usually about 3-6 things I don't remember buying at all (maybe 3 am purchases or something) usually they're all good but sometimes I get them and wonder what the HECK I was thinking.

@gideonfrost: That exact scenario has played out for me too.. completely forgot I ordered something from Woot! and thought "Whooooaaa! They sent me something!1!!11! I wonder what it is?!"
Only to open it up and remember that I ordered a battery charger heh..
After the first couple times it turned into "Okay, I know I just forgot what I ordered... but it'd still be cool if it was something from the staff."
I'm gonna guess that same scenario has played out for at least a good portion of us :)

I'm over 40 now, and have somewhat of an "online deal addiction", so yes, all the time.
Heck, pretty soon I'll be forgetting where I keep my teeth :)

@missellienc: This happens to me all the time. My wife will bring in a package from the mail and say what did you order now? It doesn't go over well when I say I can't remember. I usually get my allowance suspended for a couple of weeks after that.
