FYI, the coupon worked on the "Holiday Gift Guide" shirts. This was the push for me to buy Finding Technicolor. Plus they are suppose to come with a $5 coupon towards another shirt.

@sgoman5674: It seems that wootbot sent out some emails this morning thanking people for contributing to deals.woot and marking the 1 year birthday. In the email was a coupon code for use on shirt.woot. Some people got it and others did not, in my family those who got the email and posted a deal in the last month.

@sgoman5674: If you have your settings set to accept woot email and posted a deal in November you should get an email from wootbot.

I feel a bit bittersweet about the birthday. On one hand, I love browsing this site, on the other, I have made a lot of impulse buys over the past year thanks to it.

Since I generally don't post deals, but am a long time activist on the ATC side of things, I should have gotten something. maybe not the whoel $10, but maybe $5.

On a more helpful note, I think that only people who'd posted deals (within the past month or less) were getting the coupon. It also looks like it was black triangles only, but could have been purple.

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
