Why do people find it funny to ask "Is it mac compatible?" for everything?
It's most definitely not necessary AT ALL. It stopped being funny after 2 times. It's getting kind of annoying especially when I see it on random things like a laptop bag, for instance.
Anybody else feel the same way?

I have just learned to ignore it. Having been a mac user it was second nature to ask it, so I kind of get it. But, not when it comes to stuff that has nothing to do with computers.
Yes I feel the same way. It is the same stupid question that is asked with every product over on the woot side of things.
It is also the same as asking if something is Kosher over on wine.woot. I do not think a single time someone has asked if a wine is kosher has it actually turned out the wine was kosher if it wasn't stated in the product description.
Though when someone asks if something is kosher here, it generally is an actual question.
@catbertthegreat: sort of like asking if bacon products are kosher?
@catbertthegreat: I ask the kosher question a lot. I have learned not to ask it on the wine as it generally isn't kosher. Some of the non-wine items can be kosher, but a lot of people who don't keep kosher have no idea what makes it kosher or not.
@hobbit: bacon bits can be kosher
@sgoman5674: Yes but you don't abuse the feature, by repeating on the same kinds of items.
I love how bacon salt is kosher and vegan. That is the most wrong thing ever. Polly's pies by me serves bacon salt too!
You guys are all funny. Bacon salt can be as vegan and kosher as it likes. To me, it tastes like a mouth full of chemicals. I'd rather just have bacon.
On the other hand, if this stupid Sellout thing ever dies down, I'm going to post something about not posting deals unless you've actually looked at the item yourself. The number of "Free" items that have turned out badly (the Edmond Scientific deal springs to ming), or people posting joke things, and then EVERYONE has to post joke things. It's like being in a fraternity house during pledge week, or being forced to watch a marathon of South Park.
Don't get me wrong, South Park was funny for a long time, but not back to back for hours, thanks. I note that things on Deals are most likely to go wrong when someone posts something late on Friday, and then it hits popular, and you know that the poor guys coming in on Monday are just drowned with email. There was the "free" canvas bag at Cathedral City, too. Feh.
@catbertthegreat: Believe it or not, I thought that the bacon salt brand that woot offers a lot was kosher too. I asked a rabbi about the hecture on the salt and he said it wasn't reliable. I guess I will have to find other brands.
And believe it or not, some people have complained to me on the forum about me being someone who asks that question to get quality posts. At first it was, but now I want to know.
Is this comment compatible with Mac?
