Challenge: Where can I find a deal on a Ethernet Hard Drive Enclosure
I want something similar to the World Book that WD does but I just want the enclosure. I want to be able to swap in and out any drives I want when I want.
I want one that does Ethernet preferably Ethernet and USB but Ethernet is the priority
NAS (Ethernet) is way more expensive than USB only. Also, drive type: PATA (older) or SATA (newer)?
I will edit or post something new when I can find something.
Edit:
I couldn't find a dock, but I found this:

bad reviews, i know.
Yes ethernet is more expensive but it's also way faster as well. Especially with my nice gigabit router
Newegg has a few:
$14 for a fairly basic one (IDE/PATA only it seems), reviews are moderately good - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817145380
$65, also has eSATA, decent reviews from a lot of people - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817810014
$65, for a docking station (not a full enclosure), has eSATA, can support 2.5" drives and has a card reader - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817735004
$100, for a 2-bay enclosure, but crappy reviews - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817810017
@mrzman: The docking station is a GREAT buy! Excellent find and puts my lazy search to shame.
The docking station is great but I am really sold on wanting the ethernet
@djbowman: this seems perfect,

I agree that its a good deal. But still the requirement from the get out is Ethernet. I don’t want one that doesn’t have it. I have 6 computers and it is infinitely easier to plug it directly into the network for sharing content.
@djbowman: it has it.

@rlapid2112- Apologies apparently I can't read. Thanks !
Thanks again though that fits the bill I would love to see one that does gigabit. 10/100/1000 rather than just the 100.
@mrzman: I was going to say check NewEgg
@djbowman: You can have Cheap or Fast but not both..
The 100M should be fast enough for storage...
That is a great find...
I've have had this one for years. It is not exactly the cheapest listing I've found, but its the cheapest I've found from a reputable site.
