Yes, I did, and I think Michonne is a genius for putting those walkers on leashes to carry her stuff!

Nope, got the dvr running. Love the tag, though:

@lmensor: zombies, the latest in women's accessories. :)

@lmensor: zombie pack-mules are efficient and low maintenance!

Haven't watched it yet...too much going on tonight.

I watched it, was hoping for a double length or extra long episode though!

As someone who hasn't read the comic books, and tries to avoid spoiling himself, does anyone find Michone not being introduced without a name or any hint of backstory at all weird? I'm not even supposed to know her name, except for the spoiling internet.

Allow me to answer on behalf of all Dish Customers:

NO! :)

Dish is having another cat fight over money, which means the customers suffer. I can't remember how long we were without ABC last time.. it was awhile though.

@drchops: I thought AMC was going to make the premiere episode available online?

Yesssssss! The clearing out of the yard was epic.

Not yet, I had to watch Dexter last night. I recorded Walking Dead and will watch it tonight! I can't wait! :)

@lavikinga: They were but their servers got slammed and I think people were able to catch the last 20 mins of it.

I watched it and I read the comics. I love the things they do that aren't in the comics but I love the things that they take from the comic more. Especially when they put their own little twist on it.

Great start to a hopefully great season!

@segafanalways: My husband watches it. I tried watching the last two or three episodes during last season's run, but there was this kid that could never follow directions and kept getting in trouble or people killed...It was like watching Lucy & Ethel in the middle of one of their schemes. Just couldn't watch any longer, (and because my husband kept telling me to stop talking to the people on the TV because they couldn't hear me, but HE COULD!)

I really want to like The Walking Dead, but I have to say I find the series to be quite boring. The season premier last night was no exception, I was literally falling asleep. It's a soap opera with zombies to give dudes an excuse to watch it. That's fine, but the drama has to be good and it's not. I don't really like any of the characters and I don't really buy into their motivations. The graphic novels share some of the blame, since I often find the motivations of the characters in the graphic novels to be completely arbitrary. Also, I don't think the production quality of the show is very high. For instance, in last night's episode the fences were extremely flimsy considering their location. The guns fire with literally no recoil. The zombies fare apparently so soft that the average teen girl can simply push a blunt tire iron through with little to no effort. Oh, and it was a true falcepalm moment when Maggie realized that the riot gear zombies had a weakness.

Yes and I enjoyed it.
Covered a good amount of ground for a first episode. Ending was great and just as I expected.

Damn I love this show!

@lavikinga: You may want to watch last nights episode then because Carl's character (the kid) has matured and he wasn't the main focus. In fact he barely said anything at all.

I save a lot of shows to watch on the weekends with my BFF, WD included. But I agree that the characters actions and motivations in the series often confound reason. Nonetheless I enjoy the show because I like some of the characters, and it's interesting to see how they manage to get themselves out of the SNAFUs they inevitably get themselves into. I also love "diverse people coming together in the face of peril" stories.

This is one of the only shows I've seen every episode as it aired. The first one of the 2nd 1/2 season was rad. I can't wait for this sunday.
