The Jake Effect. I think it never actually aired until Bravo bought the episodes.

Firefly is definitely tops on my list.

Others I've enjoyed include:
My So Called Life
Freak & Geeks
Journeyman

I thought FlashForward had potential but tried to follow too many characters, especially early on.

And, if you include shows that had only two seasons, I'd toss in SportsNight. Great show with amazing, fast-paced dialogue (not surprising given it's Aaron Sorkin).

Firefly.

Also The Dresden Files.

I cannot think of anything else right now, but I'm sure there are other things that I enjoyed more than stuff I'm actually watching now.

@gt0163c: Yeah, I got through about 4 episodes of Flash Forward before giving up.

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Soo good, poor scheduling killed this awesome Aaron Sorkin show after one season.

Firefly
Wonderfalls
Space, Above and Beyond.

What do all three have in common? Fox.

vote-for2vote-against

As others have said Firefly and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

@woothulhu: Clone High is the best thing ever. I always know I'll get along with a person if they can quote Gandhi.

shasta mcnasty starring Gary Busey Jr

I liked The Cape, but then I'm a sucker for Summer Glau.

Firefly
Carpoolers (this show was very funny)

Honorable Mention:
Terra Nova
Defying Gravity
Flash Forward

Sons of Tucson. Hilarious show with Tyler Labine.
It's on Netflix instant. Check it out.

JOHN FROM CINCINNATI (HBO series) - It ran for one season in 2007. With no warning that it was ending or any explanation as to why. I watched the entire season at least 6-7 times. Most original series that I had ever seen & I was quite irritated with HBO for cancelling.

I liked Camelot on Starz. It got canceled due to scheduling conflicts with the actors.

Memphis Beat. And from long ago, EZ Streets.

@hossdawg97: I liked nearly all the actors, especially DJ Qualls (who is seriously under-rated as a character actor), Alfre Woodard, and Jason Lee. I was a bit put off by the comparatively emaciated Dwight Hendricks in the second season, but I surely miss the show as a whole.

When Things Were Rotten...70's Mel Brooks spoof on Robin Hood. Years later we got the classic "Men in Tights" but the show was great..Guess the world wasn't ready for Mel Brooks every week..

I don't think anybody else watched them (hence canceled after one season) but I liked Keen Eddie, Fastlane, John Doe, and Touching Evil. All ended before their time.

Heroes.

All kidding aside, I humbly submit Police Squad! the brilliant 6-episode (canceled after just four aired) precursor to The Naked Gun written by the same team as Airplane! and starring the late, great Leslie Nielsen. For $15, you can't go wrong: http://www.amazon.com/Police-Squad-The-Complete-Series/dp/B000H7JCFK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1331573400&sr=8-1

I also remember the Clerks cartoon being funny, but I honestly don't remember. It might have been pretty stupid.
