Who is staying up to check DailySteals to see if they have the HP Touchpad for $99.99?

Check it out! It is all over the web...was listed on Past Steals page for a few minutes with tomorrows date and the $99.99 sale price...

I did not refresh and it showed up but not for $99.99 for $199.99 so I did not purchase. When I refreshed the page it came up as netgear. This is strange. In addition I had three computers up and all three had different countdowns. The next two just came up as netgear. No Touchpad. I think they are toying with us!!!!

I think they are just trying to get traffic on their site with fake leaks and what not.

OK...this is REALLY strange. The link in my post...no longer exists!!! How did it get deleted? I mean...I copied and posted the link and tested it after I posted.

Any chance they may list it as a sponsored deals.woot sale? But if it is for $199.99 I'm still not interested.

@cindihoward: it got tattled on since it got wrecked in 2 minutes with like 30 downvotes and since it was a false lead and wasn't actually a deal

Geez, why so negative?

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
