What is the best website or resource to get information about used cars?
I have a friend looking to purchase a used car and she wants to do a bit of research. I suggested carfax, but there have to be other places to look. Any suggestions? And why?

Every April, Consumer Reports has a special issue on new cars. But they also do some features on used cars in it. Public libraries have back issues of this magazine. Their web site might have something, too.
I sometimes find them a little picky, with some of their reviews, but for the most part, they are spot on.
It's not clear what kind of information you are looking for, but if it's pricing, as either a buyer or seller, edmunds.com is an excellent resource (and much more realistic than KBB).
If you're looking for reliability/reviews, you can't go wrong with consumerreports.org.
@drjing: good point! I would suspect she wants old user info, pricing, etc... I would guess there's nothing she doesn't want to know!
I second Edmunds, great resource!!!
Beyond Edmunds, once you narrow down some choices, search for other reviews and car specific sites on those choices to see if there are additional pointers. That may help narrow down the options even more, like what's desirable and what's not in that particular model/trim.
I also use http://home.autos.msn.com/default.aspx. Pretty easy to build models/trims and compare features.
Thanks! You guys are great!
@claudicina: Here's a site I, several friends, and mechanics use: http://www.nadaguides.com/
Thanks for this question - I'm in the market for a newer used car as well. Pass along these checklists to your friend, I've found them to be helpful. http://www.wikihow.com/Buy-a-Used-Car-from-a-Private-Party
