Not that I'm aware of... but then, there are a lot of things I'm not aware of. sigh

Only in the mirror universe. Look for the goatee.

Gracious, you ask a billion questions.

There is nothing like woot apart from sliced bread. And woot is a bit better.

vote-for9vote-against

There are loads of other daily deal type sites, but THERE IS ONLY ONE WOOT. The other sites are there, but this is where those "in the know" come.

First Commandment: I am the Woot and thou shallt have no other Woots before me.

vote-for4vote-against

there is one that tries, it's called www.gadgets-n-gizmos.com but they got the name all wrong. should've ended with "oot" to be effective

Often imitated, never duplicated.

locobuy tries but they are just a mess the way i see it - woot has a nice balance of everything i'm looking for so i'm happy to hang out here ;9)

@w00tgurl: I am a part time marketing staff for the site you mentioned. It is not my intention to self promote the site here - in the woot chatting room. You know wooter can have a day-time job and a night time hobby. I am just amazed to see how wooters self disciplined, and also how they entertain each other in a respectable way. That is why I am curious how many paid staff they hired to do such massive patrol tasks.

Went to the (whispers) gadgets place & looked around. Nothin' much to see. Problem is now I feel like I've been unfaithful to woot. Cleared my cache & cookies, but still don't feel right. Mind you, I only looked, didn't touch. Maybe woot will understand.

@coolphilip04: With a science background, I have many more questions. For the sleepless wooters, more women or more men? Woot leaderboard is designed like a game play. If my guess is correct, at least 70% players are men.

@gmwhit: me too, but i can't see how it is anything similar to woot, know what i mean? bunch of overpriced junk, and that is just MY opinion

vote-for2vote-against

@gadgetsngizmos: probably not going to get a lot of help with your work here, just sayin'

vote-for1vote-against

@gretchena: You are correct. It is not a woot-like site for sure by traffic or quality. It is a start up company and wants to give it a try to be like other online stores, not a daily deal place.

@gadgetsngizmos: Then again, it could be a bunch of little old ladies taking a break from playing bingo. Or metrosexuals out to prove their prowess. Or gorgeous young ladies looking for Mr. Goodbar. ...in all the wrong places.

You know, I'm not certain that woot has the demographics of this group. They probably do, but I'm certain they aren't sharing. Nice try.

@gretchena: Job is a job, sigh. When I think about Yahoo, its old days and nowadays, I would suggest the same thing to the current Yahoo employees.

Haven't found one with as good of deals as woot. Bradsdeals.com is example of one that is out there, but I don't find the deals as compelling.

vote-for2vote-against

@gadgetsngizmos: the staff that woot pays to keep order all have staff badges. they look like little yellow squares by their usernames. here is an example of one paid woot worker: http://deals.woot.com/deals/details/6cd93f26-20f0-4b23-af73-1a59ae9564ec/21-in-bow-saw-craftsman

the person who posted that deal is staff. woot does have statistics on all kinds of stuff. they used to have quantcast open for view, but it's now private. i'm assuming cuz of the Amazon buyout but that is a wild guess on my part

http://www.quantcast.com/deals.woot.com

you can ask away but you'd be relying on people's willingness to answer. and/or staff's willingness to share since they don't have to. amazon stock is publicly traded, so i'm sure you can get financial data around quite easily http://www.google.com/finance?client=ob&q=NASDAQ:AMZN
