How many gifts are you giving this year?

I think I got carried away this year. I counted 62 gifts under my tree last night for about 50 people. 18 of them were small gift bags with a card, pair of pearl earrings, a star shaped glass candle holder with a tea light and a Lindt truffle, minor gifts for the ladies at the office. But about half of them are real gifts for people I care about. No wonder I am so broke at the start of the year! At least I think I am done, save for one "Italian feast" gift basket I have yet to assemble.

Easily 50 or so. Same as you. Gifts for the kids, extended family that we exchange with, close friends, etc. Now I need to start wrapping them!

Only close family - spouse, siblings, parents, grandparents. Around 12 people.

I purchased for about 14 people with 6 of them being small co-worker gifts. Every person I bought for is getting something I found on Woot! over the past year or a deal on deals.woot.

Do gifts for dogs count? If so, I think I have 22 gifts I need to wrap. Huh, guess I should get on that.

After just a quick adding in my head, my wife and I have wrapped about 40 presents so far (me: 2, my wife: 38), we've got more being delivered today that we(she) will need to wrap and another item this weekend. Overall it will end up being around 50 gifts (not including the 12 days of Christmas she decided to do for me this year).

@tippypaws: I am totally not wrapping The Intern's present. She can survive not having the extra ball of paper around here to swat around.

Four people (mother, brother, one cousin, best friend) get gifts from me, one package each. I get boxes big enough to contain all of each person's presents so that I don't have to wrap multiple gifts per person. No others get any gift-gifts, though some few get a bottle of champagne or something. I don't know enough/am not close to many people for gift exchanging. That lets me go all out nuts on the few for whom I do get gifts, though.

35ish. Both of our families are not small. That's just kids, our parents, and a box/tin of cookies for each household.

I think my final count was 29 gifts for people. Add in pets and it's 34 gifts.

I'm giving 6 gifts this year. Also, my husband & I put together 10 packages of cookies & other goodies in gift bags for the girls at the bank, our auto mechanic, and other various business contacts.

I think we are up to 70+ gifts! 5 god-children, sibling family exchange (on the wife's side), 4 parents, my brother, the wife's sister, child-care provider, daughter (too many), wife, a friends daughter, the bosses (2), admin professionals (2), a few coworker (gift exchange), and toys-for-tots. Ugh when I type this out it seems like soooo many.

Oh, yeah, when I counted the ones under the tree I forgot about the five kids I took gifts to from the giving tree and the five gifts I donated to the Sheriff Department's drive for needy kids, so that puts me at 72 so far this year. And I am counting the two gift bags under the tree for my dog and one for my cat.

10 of my good friends will be getting framed pictures from my recent trip to the Galapagos.
My brother, sister, mom, and dad will be getting a bottle of wine each. (actually my brother will get 2)

For a family present, I made a 40 page photobook of the whole vacation.

For myself, a bottle of F-Bomb from wine.woot and a new watch using my Amazon credits from opening a new card with them. The watch was 10 bucks after the credit... the wine is about 10 bucks as well, since a pack of 6 assorted wines was 70.

@inkycatz: my dogs get depressed if they don't have anything to open. I forgot one year and they both laid down under the tree with the most pathetic expressions on their faces. I had to go get their old toys, wrap them up and open them with the dogs before they were happy again. I know, I'm a sucker but they looked so sad!

Me, myself- 2. Me, 1/2 of a couple- around 30. I detest shopping, she makes up for it plus. Bless her heart.

You have to vote up more before you can vote down.

Don't get us wrong. Negativity has its place. And downvotes are just as essential as upvotes when it comes to making Deals.Woot a useful place to find deals.

But when your votes lean so heavily toward the dark side, we have to wonder. Go vote up a few things. Accentuate the positive for a little while. It'll do you some good, and it'll do the site some good, too. Then you can get back to dealing out the smackdowns, OK?
