What happened to Nokia cell phones?

All I ever had was a Nokia phone all through high school, and for some time after. Also everyone I knew all had Nokia cell phones. It seems now that they are no where to be found. Why did they fall off so suddenly?

They are still around... they fell off because the smartphone market is dominated by Apple and Android. Here's a good read...

I have a Nokia Nuron. Nokia is a sturdy phone, and this nuron has lasted quite a few beatings. Wouldn't change it, cause it works!

Suggestion: find a better OS for the phone., the article above indicates they worked with windows. Which might as well be a death trap. (Zune anyone?)
plus, its hard to break into the market since android and apple dominate.
