I will be buying 1 black and 1 white

I have my alarm set to wake up at 2:45am Eastern time so I can order a black one for me, and a white one for my mom!
Quite excited about the larger screen, faster speed, LTE, and VERY happy to not have to line up at an Apple Store for hours and hours on launch day.

No, not me....my Razr would be jealous.

Nope. Too late with 4G LTE, I am now a Samsung Galaxy S3 user and VERY VERY happy.

@morriea: I second your Samsung Galaxy S3 support. After much research, I made the plunge a week ago and am very happy. After seeing the final specs on the iPhone5 I am convinced I made the right choice.

I'd definitely like one. I feel that it has enough over the 4 to be worth it if I'm eligible for an upgrade.

Pretty sure I'm not, but I still intend to check. If not, I'll have an iPhone 6 when it comes out!

...Then knowing my luck the 7 (or 6[insert random letter here]) will come out within a month or so of me getting a 6.

I too, totally support the Samsung Galaxy S3, they pretty much set the bar on the "new" while iPhones are... well, very few things stands out. I've been playing with iOS 6 since it came out on beta and the only thing that totally stood out were the turn-by-turn Siri directions that is pretty awesome, when it's not repeating everything annoyingly.

But now that the iPhone 5 features an all new connector, all the docks I have is pretty much useless. So switching sides would probably be an OK thing for me to do since that takes out the factor of what I had with the iPhones which are the accessories I could pretty much stick my iPhones to.

I'm also hoping I wouldn't have to go in line next week because I still have the unlimited data plan with AT&T, so if that data option doesn't come up tonight.. I guess I can't upgrade until next week.

If someone gladly gave me an SGS3, I would be switching between that an the iPhone every other week or so. Just saying.

I'm ordering one as soon as I can. I'm excited. I'm so glad I skipped the 4S.

Nope. iHave an Android and iDon't plan on doing anything with Apple. iLike the open source format Google has set up. No use for an iAnything with special connectors and proprietary chargers, etc. That's one of the things that turned me off to Sony a while back (although iOwn the PS3, it was a gift) was that they tried to "Sony-up" everything so you could only buy their brand. It reeks of stagnation and an unwillingness to compete and iWon't support it if iCan help it.

No. Will likely upgrade (still on a 3GS from 3 years ago) but will wait a bit to let them get the kinks worked out.

... One millimeter thinner than that Galaxy S III and it only has a 4 inch screen compared to the Galaxy's 4.8. Really no reason to get an iPhone 5, they haven't done anything special.

vote-for4vote-against

I might ... I'm at the end of my contract on my Galaxy S (yes, the first one) and frustrated. I rooted that phone, rooted my Kindle Fire and love what they can do when I get Samsung out of the way but ...

I have a 4S as my work phone. The biggest thing about them that enthralls me is that the iPhone, hell even my iPod Touch is that they JUST WORK.

I'm running JB on my Fire and it is a marvel. Its fast, works well and I love watching Netflix and such. The problem is that my Android phone has been problematic after a few months. I like being able to root it and have more control, but the device still feels buggy. And lets not start talking about Samsung/Verizon and their lack of updating the device ...

I told my wife I would feel kind of silly upgrading my personal phone to an iPhone 5 and carrying that along with my 4S from work. But, she pointed out ( shakes fist ) that I carried my personal and business Androids without thinking about it.

Perhaps it is time to get an i5.

Awesome! I Just ordered mines and it went through much more smoothly than I thought it would!

Right now Apple website and AT&T still doesn't have it.. but its been on the Apple Store App for like the past fifteen minutes already.

I think I'm just as excited as the times I snag a Bag of Crap.

This youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXr1kmuqGcU summarizes my feelings on the iPhone 5 fairly well.

Note, probably NSFW at some places (though we were watching it at work yesterday and even our Apple fanboys thought it was funny and basically true).

Just ordered one, ships in 2 weeks.

vote-for2vote-against

@karnofsky: Whoa! Already at two weeks? I ordered mines like at exactly midnight.. but I didn't get to see how many weeks it is going to take.

Hopefully it's not two weeks, but I had to change the shipment adress because my default adress was on PO BOX but apple doesn't ship to them.

I pre-ordered the 4S and it was super-easy. I love it, but it is working fine and I'm not eligible for an upgrade. I've been avoiding info on the 5 so as not to tempt myself, although I refuse to pay non-upgrade price for a phone. My husband is due soon, he has a 4 and I think it is starting to act up. He will probably upgrade as soon as he can :) Then I get to play with it!

vote-for2vote-against

My current I4 contract is up in May, that is soon enough to upgrade. No rush, as it would be full price ($1500) to upgrade 2 phones (my wife gets one as well) right now. I don't have a need to be the first on my block...

When faced with a choice between an iPhone and an Android, especially with Jellybean available soon, it's Android all the way. Google voice search blows Siri away.

A friend posted this on facebook, this is basically how I feel about the new iPhone.

It boggles me how much people are hyped up about the directions feature on the iPhone5....all my android phones have had that for quite some time...

Watch out! The sheeple are on stampede!

It amazes me how many of the morons lining up for these are college students who are always whining about how poor they are and how expensive tuition is.
Priorities, people, priorities.

@kamikazeken: But my iPhone saved my life in school so many times.... @__@;

Well this is a total fail for me... they just e-mailed saying I need to contact them... but I can't since there is an "unexpected amount of callers right now".

Tried everything.. main phone, customer service phone (automated), web chat... UGH!!

vote-for0vote-against

lol no. in fact, i just used up all of my downvotes on comments above who said they were silly enough to do so. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

vote-for3vote-against

Nope, I've still got a dumb phone.

vote-for1vote-against

So like, I just realized that I was taxed the retail price.

Hence why the tax was like nearly sixty dollars, or what looks like 30% tax plus the $38 upgrade fee.

I feel very much burned right now.

Plus the fact that I can't get a hold of customer service due to "high volume of callers" every time.
