Chances are no one will see this with the woot-off but the links in the OPs in the questions no longer auto link, they remain dead text.

And this post is also an example :)
Thanks for pointing this out. Small issue we encountered when upgrading from .NET 3.5 SP1 to .NET 4. Should be fixed now.
@shawnmiller: the upgrade included the yellow highlighting? That is a lot of visual noise.
@hobbit: ZING! Not quite sure I like it. It IS a sunny color. Wow. Just noticed it's almost the color of our family room. Kind of an African yellow.
@hobbit: I don't like the highlighting. It's too different of a color and adds to the noise IMO. I'd rather it be a less pronounced color then it is currently.
@reemus & @lavikinga: don't tell me about it. :) I didn't ask for it, I don't like it either, but I have a feeling we are stuck with it. Tell @shawnmiller hahahahaha. I was good with the flickering reply/tattle thing going I knew which bar I was on with that.
@hobbit: Now, now. Let's look at it as the glass is half full (and not half empty with moldy old chocolate milk left by your roommate). The yellow could be flickering and THEN where would you be? It's yellow. It's mellow. And I feel a Donovan song coming on!
@lavikinga: bright light, bright light! When it is on the pink bar it is too bright!
It hurts my eyes.
@chris12345: My eyes! They burn!
@lavikinga: This color is usually referred to in the vernacular as "baby (mod edit: profanity) yellow" (of course, it only stays this color until they move to solid food). It's just so considerate, with all the buggy stuff that shows up, that they felt we needed another eye exam, instead of (for example) something that would make the database more stable.
Dear @shawnmiller, was this your neighborhood improvement that you spoke of? Do. Not. Want.
@shrdlu: I believe this explains @shawnmiller's line of thinking: http://www.andrew-eells.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/mauve.jpg
Baby (mod edit: profanity) yellow increases stability.
@catbertthegreat: ROTFL! :-D :-D This is a near perfect description of precisely what we all suspect went on.
pew pew pew pew baby (mod edit: profanity) yellow pew pew pew
[Edit] @shawnmiller: We know that you don't have the pointy hair. ;-}
@catbertthegreat: Which one am I?
The marigold color is the same that our local Walmart painted 2 LARGE walls of its grocery section. (Well, not quite. Walmart's gold is much brighter, probably because they splashed it over such a HUGE area --but the same overall color.) I really should thank Walmart because I now save hundreds of dollars each month by not shopping there, as I am having a strong negative reaction to the color and avoid that whole side of the store now. Instead of noticing the products in the store, I now notice the black cave-like fixtures, electric blue monolithic overhead signs and checkouts, and puke orange walls.
I am wondering if others are having the same reaction (but don't realize what it is from), because when I look at the shopping bags coming out of the store, they usually only have small items, versus whole shopping carts of products purchased.
It is the same color that the DOT paints the 'yellow' stripes on roads. Nuff said.
@shawnmiller: Guess...
@songdancer: Actually DOT paints with a retroreflective yellow, this colour shine back at us in a dark room if that were the case. This one doesn't reflect back - thankfully.
