AAHH madness. It gets earlier every year and now we're talking as though it's over at 1:08AM?

@gregorylikescheapstu: I know and I wonder what time it will begin next year?
No deals out there that were really worth the headaches this year

Sleep, unlike the saps who buy into this stupid day dedicated to spending money on stuff they don't need.

The annual monument to American consumerism is on display now while the Occupy protests are still going on. I hope everyone sees the connection and makes the correct choice.

I went to walmart to look around. Thought about buying some of those Stay cool pillows but they were all sold out by the time I got there. =( After that went to take a nap then went to this regional camping/sport/outdoor store and got a free 25$ giftcard. All in all not a bad hall.

Black Friday seems to be turning into more of a sport, don't you think? I believe I'm starting to enjoy it for the fun of meeting new people and hanging out in line talking to old friends.

I bought Battlefield 3 and enough 3 month Xbox Live memberships to last me 3 and a half years.

@curtisuxor: Yep! My choice is to save money and get my family and friends gifts in a more economical way than waiting, or being the jerk that say "I didn't get you anything, just to prove a point. Enjoy!"

I went to the 10:00 pm sale at Walmart and got:
Xbox 360 w/Kinect for $199 and a $50 gift card
Shark steam mop for $38
Shop-Vac for $19
600 Thread count sheet sets for $20
Several Blu-rays and video games

The better questions would be were didn't I go and what didn't I get.

I did a lot of shopping at amazon, best buy, xbox, and a few other online retailers. As far as B&M I went to Walmart, Best Buy, and Target.

I got tons of blu-rays (maybe about 50. All at around $5 a piece), a few games (uncharted 3, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Split/Second) , and some household items my wife wanted (coffee pot, sheets, pajamas).

Out of 3 B&M stores Best buy was the worse with lines at the cash register. Walmart I as in and out in a half hour, target was the same but best buy I waited in line for 1 hour and 45 mins.

It was funny watching people scrambling for the TV's at walmart when most if not all of the deals were just as cheap or cheaper on Amazon.

I got pretty much everything I was looking for, including showing up at Best Buy at 7:30am just to verify they were sold out of the tablet PC I wanted, only to learn they still had plenty of them. I figured since people had been camped out there since Tuesday and they opened at midnight they'd be out of everything by the time I got there. Fellow shoppers were courteous and friendly, employees were helpful and knowledgeable, and my friend and I had a good time. All around it was a great shopping experience across six stores, with KMart being the top of the line and Best buy being next in terms of helpful clerks. What I got:

I was astonished this morning at WalMart. Though there were lines for the TVs a bit, there weren't any lines for the laptops or Wiis. Apparently they'd expected it and had cordoned off whole aisles for those lines, which were empty. BUT, when I went to pick up these cheap towels I wanted they were already sold out!! Imagine! I could have gotten a Wii system, all manner of TVs and cheap laptops, but the TOWELS were sold out!!

@segafanalways: Hey, those sheets were real popular at WalMart, for sure. Along with the towels I wanted, those sheets were sold out too! They seemed to have been super-stocked with the tech and game stuff, but not with the linens.

I did better than all of you. I got plenty of sleep. :)

I got up at 5am to find that I'd already missed all the cheap blu-ray players at Target, Kmart, Walmart, Sears and several other stores, so I came back home and ordered one online for less anyway, so all I didn't get was instant gratification.
The knife set I wanted at Kmart had sold out, but I got a better set at another store, they had plenty, but were only cheaper after a rebate, which may have been scaring a lot of potential buyers away, but we're wooters, rebates don't scare us.

Not a deal with only $50 off and free shipping, but I did buy an Ipad at the Apple store online. Coordinated it with my airline miles account and card - small change stuff - but I decided to treat myself today because I did not feel well this morning! Good enough reason.

I bought some shoes off MyHabit by Amazon and four of something else for me to resell.

I bought Christmas gifts for my entire family. Since any one of them could read my posting, I can't say exactly what I bought. But I will say I did all my shopping online from these stores:

Amazon
Best Buy
eBay
Gamestop
KMart
Microsoft Store
Newegg
ToysRus
Walmart

@sizzlestick: That's why I couldn't find any XBox Live Gold 3 month memberships!

@kle11az: At Bestbuy? They were a great deal! Buy four and it's only $32 for a one year membership.
