It's here! The Awful Box of Offal has arrived!!! Where is my packing knife?
It just landed on my doorstep. There is enough tape on this sucker that it hardly needed a box. Looking for my packing knife. More later.

It LIVES! IT LIVES!!!
Don't leave us in suspense!! ;)
woo hoo! box 2 made it back to NC.
@lavikinga: I think it may have killed him...
@v3n0m91: her
@hobbit: ahh, my mistake;
Figured I would take a 50/50 shot ;P
@v3n0m91: it is okay, she is probably rummaging through the boc going why is there crappity crap from Charlotte in here????
Hurry up! I gots no fingernails left.
to all - leave me alone - I am playing - I will only share when I figure out what some of this is (how do these BudLight caps do anything???) What a cool tripod - ooooo, lookee, lookee.... Back in a few.
@sand4me: the Bud Light caps blink. The pin is sheathed by a tube of plastic. When you take that off and clasp the button, the circuit is completed and a red light blinks.
Those were one of my many promo leftovers. :D Tripod was from a recent Woot BOC.
btw, this post pertains to the following members.

@perkalicious11: raises hand Present! ;)
@angstangel: attagirl! :D just wanted to make sure everyone knew where their crap was.
Wooters...it's 4:16 on Friday (Central Time). Do you know where YOUR Box of Offal is??
@perkalicious11: mine has been sent, recvd and sent on.
Oh boy, oh boy. Waiting for @sand4me to open her BOC is almost as exciting as getting one myself.
Of course, the fact that I am next has nothing to do with this ;).
And I after @jazcat. ;)
Open! Open! Open!
@lavikinga: are you reading my thoughts?
I can picture
a valkyrie,
a hobbit,
a cat with a sax,
a claudia (sorry c, I know it's your initial and last name, gonna make the noobs go back and read the enigma thread to catch up),
a very curvy percolator(even though I have seen your twit pic and I know you are no way, shape, or form related to a coffee pot ),
a worried angel,
a tater tot,
Arnold J Rimmer (sorry schmegs, but he is a smeghead),
and a very tall spaniard with a Don Quixote goatee (maybe I am envisioning your spouse)
all standing around a sand box saying open, open, open.
(Have I mentioned that it is Friday and I am bored at work?)
Okey-Dokey – I will probably review this again before I start putting things in, but here is what I am keeping:
- Captain Morgan sun visor (red)
- plastic Captain Morgan boilermaker cups
- Jack Daniels bandana
- 4 BudLight blinking bottlecaps (putting on my hat for Burning Man)
- Celtic Thunder CD
- 2 nightlights
- Smart Clip 9-in-1 personal care keyring tool
- small pack of stationery
- small box of Christmas cards
- camera tripod
- pop-up map of uptown Charlotte, NC
- miniature Lone Ranger lunchbox with soap, marble, lanyard, things in it
- Beneful Incredibites (for my friend’s dog)
- 2008 wall calendar with National Parks of North America
And @jazcat, will try to mail out on Tuesday – must find perfect items to put in.
This is almost as good as the Pandorica opening
@sand4me: WOW! Cool stuff. Now I feel bad the one I sent off sucked so much.
@lavikinga: Now we know better for Round Two (not to be confused with track 2)
@theoneill555: yes, a chance of redemption.
@lavikinga: It will be interesting to see what comes back to us. I am keeping a list and checking things off as they get taken.
@theoneill555: The small Lone Ranger lunchbox is so cool. It has a gorgeous marble in it, some cards - hockey and basketball players - two little travel bars of soap, and a miniature book of Garden Proverbs. Also a lanyard that says Celebrate Trolley - don't know what that means...
I'm almost sad I'm not playing in this. I love making up presents. Maybe next time around...
sooo can't wait for this to come round my way. already have a stack of cool and crappy items waiting :)
@shrdlu: If BKindustries decides NOT to play, I have the perfect place for you.
I think this should be the Neverending Basket of Cats, never stopping, only pausing, making its way across the world, spreading joy and crap everywhere in its path.
@sand4me: That is from me, Celebrate Trolley is from the Charlotte Trolley which is the historic trolley line here. You can google it. The lunch box was from a NASCAR speedstreet event. I will warn you now, if you rip the Celtic Thunder CD, the songs showing up via iTunes aren't the names of the songs, I found it highly amusing, so you will have to rename them.
@lavikinga: I6t didn't suck at all! It was interesting! I liked it! :)
I added the camera tripod. It was part of a light tent / photography kit I bought a year ago. I already had a tripod so.....
Glad it found a good home!
@lavikinga: I just realized that if BKI doesn't play, I know who the package would go to that I assembled. Be careful what you wish for...
@ravelazquez: I have had it out on the back deck to see if I can capture all those pesky squirrels - they are always yammering away because my big, black cat likes to lay out there in the sun, and they are amusing. This way I can put the camera in place, sit back and wait (while sipping something appropriately decadent)
@jazcat - you did say 3 nieces, right?
I hear you @shrdlu, I feel left out too. I guess this is what happens when we disappear for two months.
@sgoman5674: PM @theoneill555 and see about getting on the list for box #2. I think it may be the shorter of the two lists.
@sgoman5674: yeah, what @lavikinga said. Besides, our track is running faster.
sign me up for #2 as well, if you can. This is like geocaching from your couch.
@theoneill555: we are going to guilt box1 into moving faster.
@rsimianer: How cool would it be to discover a woot monkey in a cache???
Ah-hem: After further review, I put Celtic Thunder back and took the Woot Shirt with the Earth on a pillar of pretty wavy things (how descriptive is that!)
I also found and took the Jack Daniels keyring (oh yes I did)
Also, there was a pack of ramen noodle soup and it had split at the seam, so I had to clean out the box some and I threw the soup away.
Now - @jazcat - I have added cool stuff - really - and will put it in parcel post - TODAY!
WOOTERS ROCK!!
OH! I'm calling foul! You guys said no food. I would have added these addictive cheese straws (it's a Southern thing and so good with G&Ts) and Key Lime Cooler cookies that would make you fight to keep them to yourself along with some chocolate covered coconut patties.
@lavikinga: After cleaning out the soup, I think NO FOOD is probably a good rule (depending on packaging - see there are always exceptions), and because it is so blasted hot, I did not add any salt water taffy (sorry @jazcat) - lots of other stuff added though and the box is heavier. Still very sturdy though, especially with all the tape I put on it!
@lavikinga: The soup was in there before I got it. Hahaha It was too gross for me to take it out though.
@sand4me glad to know my box is surviving another mailing with all the tape on it.
I think no food is a good idea - who knows how long this thing is going to take to travel to the end of the line. Also, with the heat and humidity.... just ewwww.
Anyway, I wonder how long that box is going to survive. Perhaps we should have each written our user names on the inside flap of the box before sending it on.
Which do you think will give out first- the box, or the patience of the USPS for the condition of our box?
OK, you all have to decide. I have a used only once official Woot box that I planning to send on as I understood the existing box is on its last legs. Do I replace the box or do you want to see how long the existing box will last? I can always get out the giant roll of duct tape.....
@jazcat: If you do that, there may come a point in time where we're paying to ship tape.
@lavikinga: hmmm I wonder if we can unwrap the tape and reuse it when it gets to its final destination.
@jazcat: the box I used was also a previously used box that I got shipped to me by another retailer - which is actually, I believe, the current box of offal. The box previous to that was a former woot box, but it wasn't big enough for all my offal.
@sand4me: woo woo, JD keychains were from me too! hahahaha, frightening trend here... lol
@hobbit: that's funny, I don't remember there being Ramen in the box when I got it from @theoneill555, but I don't think I put any in there. Maybe the postal workers are getting in on our fun?? ;)
@perkalicious11: I almost didn't see that little keychain. When I was in the Army, Jack Daniels was always the preferred libation - I have a few other trinkets in black and white.
@hobbit; @jazcat; @ravelazquez - my post office people (who are some of the nicest people on earth) told me that box was no where near the worst they have seen - only the corners/edges are a bit bent. So, it will probably make a few more stops!
Whoever is next on the list after @jazcat (?anglanst??) might have to consider another one, but probably not. I am sure I have mangled that user name - couldn't remember it.
