Does anyone know where to get a scarf this time of year?
So Saturday night someone stole my scarf out of my jacket at a bar. I figure "this sucks, but it's still winter I'll pick one up tomorrow." Well, after 3+ hours of looking around the local mall AND an outlet mall, I have no scarf and have learned that scarfs "are not in season anymore" in most stores (evidently the salespeople didn't look outside and see the snow still on the ground). What they do have are clearance scarfs and/or patterns/materials I don't like.
I'm looking for a neutral color (black/gray) scarf. Preferably with a long stripe on it. I can't get another of the scarf that was stolen because my girlfriend got it for me north of the border. Any ideas?
Sorry you lost your scarf. :-/
Amazon has almost everything. Including a black/grey striped men's scarf. If you don't like this one, just search there for 'scarf.'
Sorry to hear about the theft. Try Kohls.com, type in scarf in the search then there should be a list on the left and you can choose "mens" - there's over 60+ and they are all on sale. Good luck in finding something!
etsy! get one thats hand knit! http://www.etsy.com/search/?search_query=doctor+who+scarf&page=1
@gmwhit: Thanks. I'm a little skeptical about buying online, but it looks like I might have to (and Amazon looks to be ok with returns and what not.
I should have mentioned that I'm looking for a wool scarf. For some reason, these seem to be hard to find.
What would you need with a scarf in January?? You should be swimsuit shopping before they are all gone!
I picked up a really nice one at Burlington Coat Factory. Calvin Klein for $6.
@bb81398: Amazon's return policies are awesome. I ordered the wrong type of ink for my printer (I was tired and ink shopping is horrible anyway... but all my fault nonetheless) and next day'ed it because I need to print things for class. When I got it and saw it was the wrong type I returned it, which was simple, easy, and fast. They refunded the next day shipping and cost, minus the return shipping cost because the return was all my fault, not theirs. Not a hassle at all.
Most second hand stores are a pace behind the retail market and will still have scarves. Also check Walgreens. Also, do you have a Burlington coat factory there? AFAIK they carry winter gear year round.
@bb81398: Because a lot of people can't stand wool against their skin. I have several silk scarves I use to protect my neck from my wool coats.
I feel your pain. We finally had snow, followed by a bitter cold snap, and in the store where I work most gloves and scarves were long clearanced out. Neon tech gloves were about all we had left, and there was a reason those were left. Online is going to be your best bet, but you might try local thrift stores. People tend to donate at the end of the year, especially if they got new gear for the holidays.
TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Bought one at TJ's last week. Check the woman's dept. It's a unisex type thing and there's a much bigger selection. Oh and Stein Mart. They have a bunch in the men's dept.
Good season for just wandering through winter clearance sales. I tend to find scarves at The Gap.
